The first time I read the chapter, I felt a vague irritation, an unease with the way Khushi was handling the whole thing. Thought I should give it another read and then try to make sense of what she is doing.

The second time around had me actually getting more than a little angry with her. On one hand, she has decided she is 'in love' with Arnav. She grants him liberties she hasn't granted any other person for so long. If the timely interruption from Manjunath hadn't come about when it did, she would have gone along with Arnav, her mind unable to overrule her body. Even when Arnav came back, she chose to pretend to be asleep rather than let him know that she wasn't ready. Her pretense is getting a little bothersome. I feel like her being the way she is, she is in for a complete heartbreak. And she would have no one but herself to blame for it.

I couldn't believe she yet again went being Arnav's back and spoke to Rakesh. How could she?! Hadn't she decided she loved Arnav? Then shouldn't she either chose to believe in Arnav blindly or speak to him clearly? It's as though she needs affirmation that she did indeed pick a good person and the affirmation should come from the creepy gang. Why didn't she tell Rakesh that she knew people who knew Arnav personally and they vouch for him? She could have; should have taken the high-road, haina?

I cringe when I think about how Arnav would feel when he comes to know that Khushi had been making inquiries behind his back. For a guy who already has trust issues, this would break him and in turn, he is going to break her. I see heartbreak all around, Kavi 😒

But I'll assuage myself by saying that things have to get worse before they can get better.

👏 smiley32smiley32

Take a bow, Kavi! Amazing character development. I love the way you laid the foundations bit by bit in every chapter.

No one targeted ASR from whatever I read. In fact, everyone is speaking for him 😊

Boys may have harboured feelings for Payal and girls may have felt jealous, but I don't think any of them can be murderers.

There are still some questions on who broke Payal's heart and who continued having a relationship.

Payal was considered as a college beauty and she was proud of her good looks too!. Even if she wanted to kill herself, she would not have jumped in the water.

The issue is bigger than what we are thinking. It could be related to drugs.

My speculation is based on what Rakesh just said. Why would he lie about how Payal died? Khushi can find out, can't she?

Every body has something to hide and some may have assumed and some may have conveniently blamed Arnav to hide their secrets.

Arnav just spoke about his trust issues and it looks like in the near future Khushi is going to break his trust.

Kavi please prove us wrong and do not make Arnav misunderstand Khushi.

Cheers........

What is there to misunderstand? Even if he understands her actions for what they were, he wouldn't be wrong to be intensely angry and upset with her. She is wrong. Period!

I am actually looking forward to the time Arnav comes to know Khushi's actions and his reaction. 😊

I hate subterfuge more than anything in this world.

This story is getting more mysterious with every update.. kushi and arnav lost their way and had ended up spending that night in a small village.. I was remembering this song "hum tum ek kamre mein band ho" but nothing like that happened.. I was really on the edge while reading as I didn't wanted that to happen.. there are too many things to be addressed and there is a lack of trust in their relation which is very important in any relation before taking it to next level..

Anjali left the place and manav, Aarav and Mrs. Rai will be leaving in the next few days.. so kushi might get a chance to live with arnav for few days alone. Hope she will sort out things by then..

She went and met Rakesh again.. He was very sure that payal was seeing raizada and on the last day too she was going into his room.. but he didn't see the face.. it could be anyone with same height and built.. aarav or akash or someone else who must be trying to frame him.. Rishab is more notorious than we all expected. He was behind payal then and behind kushi now.. looks like one womanizer.. Did Rakesh too had feelings for payal? is that the reason he hates arnav? Did payal tell all these people that she is dating arnav to keep them away from her?? Did Rakesh had anything against arnav and so tried to frame him to settle the scores?? With this it's clear that no one had seen arnav and it was Rakesh who told everyone that arnav was the one who was with payal before her death.. so no evidence to prove arnav guilty.. one more new revelation is that she didn't get drowned in the pool.. Too many questions kavi..

I feel so sorry for kushi.. she is in love with arnav.. she should trust him.. arnav shouldn't find out everything from someone else.. Rakesh now thinks that kushi is close to arnav. He shouldn't cross arnav's path and blurt out everything..

Waiting eagerly for next Monday kavi..

@bold - Exactly! I can't imagine how bad he would feel if he came to know all this from someone else.

I'm going to leave Aakash and Aarav out of the mystery. My feeling is it has to do with those in the creepy gang and probably someone else who had an axe to grind with Raizada. Aakash and Aarav from the little that we know so far don't seem to fit that. There is another person we have not been introduced to so far; Shyam Jha!

Things to ponder:

1) Khushi was in her 12 standard when Payal passed away, her parents didn't tell her anything apart from saying it was of an accidental drowning. In chapter 1 it says she finds a newspaper article which talks about the death. We have to take it that the article does not mention how and where the drowning took place (since she was under the impression it was in a pool), just that it took place under the influence of alcohol, but made some insinuations about students getting into bad company. Now this is Rakesh's work making those insinuations.

2) The creepy gang tells Khushi that they saw Payal arguing with Raizada on the farewell night. Rakesh tells her he saw her going into a room with someone who looked like Raizada since he was wearing the kind of clothes he normally wore.Did he actually see Rishabh with the junior?

My feeling is that Payal probably confessed her feelings toRaizada who then gave her a dressing down. Raizada is the kind of person who would've met up with Payal if she had requested him to, citing her farewell. Did he also tell her that he had felt something for her younger sister which he had not felt for anyone? Rashmi’s absence in the college and then marriage might have given her the feeling that she stood a chance.

3) Which brings us to the question, whether it was genuinely an accident and not as the creepy gang had made it out to be. Who wanted her out, was it just to involve Raizada in a case, or was it because she knew something? Did her death provide whoever it was an opportunity to make some mischief?Rakesh was not behind that apology that was printed, so it has to be Raizada.Did he feel bad that he could not help Payal, that inadvertently he may have given her the wrong idea? Did he feel bad for words he might have spoken in the heat of the moment, which post her death he wished he hadn’t? He tells Khushi that he has broken many hearts, does he feel he might have broken both Rashmi's and Payal's hearts without really meaning to? Like his father he ended up playing with two hearts.

So many questions!!!😆 I'm sure the author is like this🤣 after reading all our innumerable speculations😆 We are like the exit polls before election results😆

Both did not like Arnav, because apparently he had Payal's affection and attention. But based on Rakesh's conversation, it looks like he didn't like Rishabh either.

Reading for the second time I realized, maybe Rakesh didn't lie. He may have conveniently hidden some information, but overall what he told Khushi were probably facts - from his POV. It could have been Arnav who led Payal. Her friends were nowhere to be seen and Payal, I assume, was drunk. Arnav could be just settling a drunk Payal in the hotel room. - So right you are!! They could have even been arguing about her being high either on drugs or drinks. How absolutely awful to assume!!

My other speculation is the guy could either be Aarav or Akaash. Aarav is almost as tall as Arnav. Rakesh who may also be drunk (or even high on drugs), may not have been able to spot the difference. We don't know how Akaash looks like. So he is not off the hook either. That doesn't meany any of them could be responsible for her death. It's just a theory of who Rakesh saw last with Payal.

Rakesh's statement was another testament to Rishabh's character. Not only was he possessive, manipulative and overbearing, he was also a liar and someone with a loose character.

I feel sorry for Khushi atm. It's easy for us to say she should trust her gut, not listen to what others say and come clean with Arnav. That's because we know Arnav is the hero in this story and he cannot be wrong. But if we think from her POV, all the information that she has received is from Payal's "friends". She cannot overlook the fact that each of them is pointing to Arnav. She has fallen in love with Arnav, and based on her experience he cannot be the person the creepy gang is claiming. But again. his testimony also came from the people who love him. So I won't blame her if she's hesitant in approaching Arnav. She should, but it ain't easy for her, and I see why. - It's how her character is. And the whole story is about two people whose pasts have had a profound impact on their natures. If each of them were not the way they are, there wouldn't be much of a story here, haina? smiley2

Having said that, I think it's okay to rant-Kavi and you notwithstanding smiley17 It is our prerogative to be upset with such natured people just as it is the writerji's prerogative to etch her characters the way she wants. It is just what makes it an interesting read.

Arnav has trouble trusting people. Yet it feels like he trusts Khushi completely. He is probably never as vulnerable as he is with Khushi, or when she's not in his sight. When the truth will come to light (and I have a strong feeling he won't be hearing it from Khushi), he is going to be devastated 😥

And the creepy gang is getting creepier, one more snake can be added to the list. I feel Raizada had warned Payal about some of them, and they are still under the impression Payal had an affair with Raizada. Which is not true if we go by what Manav told Khushi and also Payal’s dairy of sorts. Now we only have Rakesh’s word for seeing Payal go into a room. It looks more and more that both Rishabh and Rakesh had a thing for Payal. They also had run in with Raizada at some time hence the animosity, else it’s plain old jealousy. - I'd forgotten about the diary. Even if we assume Rakesh was telling the truth about seeing Arnav go into Payal's room, there could have been a perfectly innocuous explanation for it. Why would they assume? It's like they had been biased against Arnav from the beginning.

Khushi needs to talk to Arnav, there is no other way. The more she postpones it the more complicated it will get. One thing i’m thinking is whether Arnav knows about Rishabh and Rakesh’s meeting with her. He seems to be someone who knows the place and folk around. Does he know, is he waiting for her to say something? Or he has no clue about her connection with Payal.

It’s getting tough to wait for each chapter!

" exit polls before election results" 🤣

After reading your comment, mere dil mein ek aur khayal aaya hain. I should probably run miles away after saying this and not show my face until the mystery is cleared smiley36 Me thinks Payal was involved with Arnav's Dad. I know the age difference is vast. But Sr. Raizada already had an extra marital affair, and may even had more for all we know. It must have been easy to trap a vulnerable Payal, who was already collecting pieces of her broken heart.
