Alia would have made it on her own DESPITE debuting with Dharma

I dont get why she gets so much hate on here. I like her..but i know she is priveleged too so I respect ppls opinions about how it is unfair and all that karan helps get movies for her.

She is talented and a good acress. She is doing sadak 2 with her father, so if she didnt debut with karan..she would have gotten a launch like sadak 2 anyway and probably made a name for herself based on talent no?

In fact, shouldnt she be respected more b/c she didnt launch with her dad, and instead by dharma.

She would have been less successful than she is (and people would have been okay with her even if she got roles undeservedly), but people got sick hearing every good role in a major movie was handed to her.. ..and BECAUSE she was pushed in a lot of roles that were also modified to suit her persona best.. (thus fooling people that it's her 'acting' that is so great.. rather than the script being the main good thing), plus the roles being altered for her and other' roles being cut/diminished.

I also think there's a lot of industry that dislikes Aloo and KJo and these udnerhand tactics.. not just the General Public..

Look at Kalank. She did not suit the role AT ALL. Yet not only she got it handed on a platter, her screen presence was increased and the screen modified to 'showcase' her the most.. so much so that it messed the whole narrative into the messy stuff we saw as the end result.

I think the biggest issue people have with her is her not getting roles on merit (or for what she is good at- like modern , ditzy type roles). She is not THAT talented , nor THAT multifaceted to be able to explain the variety of roles she got.

Put it simply, if only releasing with her father.. she wouldn't been better than , say, Shraddha.. maybe she'd have been in an even a lower position.

And she'd have to AUDITION.. rather than beg or cajole.. or get KJo to get her roles.. cause outside Dharma no one was casting her until this last year.

i had read somewhere that Alia's only dream was to work in dharma movies n with kjo since childhood as she's fascinated by him. her sole motive in life was not become a great actress but getting a great banner in the hand. she did a lot of buttering to KJO after all he didn't make her his pari just like that..kjo is fascinated with youth n gen y generation and alia would have been a perfect replacement to kajol and kareena...serves it right

And people here shovs down her success when the path is readymade for her. Any decent actress would be successful with these roads. And i really dont see her as good actress. Her udta punjab accent was a big time fail and in raazi she was overrated flaring her nose showing nose hair to everyone. But kjo and his frnds made sure she gets the best reviews like she is some GODDESS!

When we criticize her some fans of hers here talk about her public appeal and box office. Then y kalank flopped if she is so massive? If u dont wanna credit her for kalank failur, then dont credit her for success too.

One big catch? her movies being successful reason is the best commercial scripts not her and dear zindagi was hit bcoz of srk lol! Other actresses dont get such chances

And respected? Its not even about nepotism. Nepotism boundary has been crossed. Its something else ! Her and kjo desire to snatch every script and best director for her. Easy way to get to top when every film is served on platter!

She cant play period roles and got exposed in kalank. She tried to be sexy in soty2 song and failed! she wants everything when she isnt good enough for all these things.

I dont defend her like that, I understood why ppl dont like that she gets films easier. I actually agree with you on kalank. I dont think she was suited for the role either. But the rest of the films she is in..she has done so well.

but isnt she currently the best actor of her generation? she is doing all kinds of films, and besides kalank..has performed so well in even small roles and make an impact. Even if she wasnt getting all those films and opportunties, and someone else did in her generation-would they be performing to her level?

but she delivers in roles..so why audition new talent when she can already do all the roles and draw in big audience? bw is a business that wants to make money. and if she brings in money and can do all roles than why would they invest in other people?

Neither Alia nor Kangana wud hv made it to even TV with a face and body like that. Though Alia has an edge as she looks cute, can dance and has a good dialogue delivery.

But both are very below average. One shud thank her Daddy and another shud thank her Sugar Daddy and BF, Aditya Pancholi for getting a big banner debut.

' She delivers' - is something that's arguable. If I give you a role to play yourself, you cand eliver too. If I give you best budget, best hype and best everything money can buy, you (meaning anyone) can do that, too.

Because ANY industry that is worth its SALT would get the BEST person for the job.. not one that is SOMEWHAT good.

And what would you prefer, a SOMEWHAT good actress representing India at a festival or THE BEST actress being the star shining bright for the Indian nation?

Would you rather everyone talked how India's best actress is just about mediocre (and maybe even mocking her) or would you rather Everyone praised the Indians for their good actors and actresses?

If that was the case, every Kjo film would have been a Blockbuster. And Sid would have been the Biggest star.
