Isn’t this what we had been missing after Sameer and Naina’s wedding. They shared comfort to a great extent because they were in a relationship for four years before getting married. All they had ever dreamt of was a love filled life, and fought for bringing their relationship to the ultimate goal -marriage.
We saw the progress to kissing but then they drifted apart… there was so much missing from their life. Getting married was a dream come true, but they didn’t know how to hold that relationship together,physically and emotionally both. The frustration in them boiled out when they were faced with life’s realities. But thankfully, because of their immense love for each other and parental guidance, they found their way back to each other.They consciously sought to develop the emotional understanding that was needed in their relationship. And that strong bond led to them finally taking the actual step of becoming man and wife.
The lovemaking made them come even closer to each other.The emotional dependency that they built after the quarrel was translated into physical dependency as well. The understanding they share evolved and bloomed.
In the past we had seen Naina getting jealous and angry when other girls drooled over Sameer, and he used to tease her. But now, she became strong after making love to her husband, she is assured in every way that Sameer is only hers.
While on the other hand, Sameer is more dependent on her not just physically but emotionally as well. The topic that once used to be a teasing point for him, is now an irritation. Just like he cannot share Naina’s attention with anyone else, now he cannot imagine sharing himself with anyone else. Yes, Sameer is extremely good looking and he is proud of it - that was the base the show set for us since the first episode - but now he wants that if some random girl is drooling over him, Naina, his wife should exercise her right over him. He has taken a major step with her in their relationship, and he needs her now more than before… That is why we see the constant urge to touch,to be close… it is not like he wants to make love to her 24*7, but rather he has than inherent need to touch her all the time simply because she is his, and he is hers.
Naina who is now completely assured and confident, has mentally prepared herself that she needs to wait to declare her rights publically on Sameer. She knows that nothing matters because he is hers in all manners,and will remain hers. She knows that he is unable to move his eyes away from her. She knows that he needs her attention, her love, her time, her touch. That is why she is unaffected when girls are now drooling over Sameer, or when random people are commenting on her looks. Yes, Naina is an average looking girl -that has also been conveyed to us since the first episode itself - but she had not been bothered about her looks even before Sameer came in her life, and after he was there she never looked back on that aspect of herself. She knows that she is the most beautiful girl in the world for him. It is she that he desires for, and not those random girls who has or will fling themselves on him. As viewers also, we might be hearing comments on her looks often, and probably even more so now because Mumbai has a world of glitz and glamour, and Sameer is aiming to enter that world, but just like Naina is not bothered about those comments, we ought not to be as well… The time when her looks had mattered was well in the past, but Sameer did not fall for her looks, he fell in love with her heart and then started to desire her as a woman… Let the random people comment, let the random girls flirt, because that’s what they are…Random… They hold no importance in Sameer and Naina’s life and they are not supposed to understand their love. What they will see is an average looking girl trapping a handsome boy… But Sameer and Naina know the reality, and so do we…
Does that mean she will not exert her right on him in public ever? No, for sure she will when the right time comes.
When will the right time come? For sure very soon, and Sameer will be the one to bring it.
They chose to hide their marriage from public to fulfill Sameer’s dream… but as viewers we know that his every dream is connected to Naina. If he is upset he will need her by her side, if he is successful his happiness will be incomplete without her. Sameer has always been the rebellious hero, and this might be one more chance for him to break the stereotype. The rules of industry might not bend for him, but he sure can change the game.
After all, if Sameer Maheshwari is the destined hero, he will always have only one heroine and that is Naina Sameer Maheshwari.
