I feel like today's episode can be summed up by the words 'one step forward, two steps back' šŸ˜†

Kudos to Shaheer- his performance was very moving. He has always been one of the bright spots of this show. He is one of those actors who makes you FEEL. I could feel Abir's love for Mishti when the realisation spread through him- from his heart to his head and then from his eyes to his smile. šŸ‘

MishBir scenes were definitely great but of course, they had to ruin it with the last moment. šŸ™„ The token scene KuKu got was nice but not enough. Their scenes are way too short. Rajan Shahi is just bad with parallel leads, it seems. KuKu appear together for even less time than Parul does.

Moving on, why are they making Mishti so buddhu? I am sorry but when there was a great moment like Mishti risking her life for Abir's painting and then Abir risking his life to save her, how could they twist that around for Mishti to think that it was Kunal??? 🤬

She had such a long conversation with Abir before fainting, so did that statement mean she does not remember Abir saving her? It seems that she thought it was Kunal who saved her because she regained consciousness in his arms. Then her saying crap like 'Kunal will not leave me like my father'.

Wah. It didn't make sense because unlike the road accident where she was not conscious when Abir saved her, here she had a heart to heart with Abir before fainting. Really, it's like the writers come up with good ideas and then think about how to ruin them.

Badi Maa- Am I the only one who turned down the volume when she started screeching? šŸ˜† Bhagwan, she is supremely annoying. Does she do anything apart from hyperventilating? I wonder how Vishambhar uncle does not have hypertension yet. Award milna chahiye unhe. Bravery award. šŸ™

Meenakshi- What can I say about this disgrace of a mother? She should stop deluding herself into thinking she does things for her 'family'? First, she decided to 'unmask' Mishti at Abir's exhibition. She knows it is important for him. It's his livelihood after all. She simply didn't care about it. She didn't think it was important enough to displace what was numero uno on her agenda- break Kunal and Mishti up. 🤢 Disgusting woman should stop pretending she does everything out of 'love'. She is nothing but a control freak who manipulates people to serve her own purposes.

Even when the fire broke out, she shamelessly asked the electricians how her 'plan got ruined'. Bravo. She does not have a shred of humanity. When she got to know Mishti was trapped inside and Abir-Kunal went to save her, she acted as if Mishti was a fly. She was angry that they went inside 'uss ladki ke liye'. Weird that she seemed somewhat concerned when Kunal came out with Mishti but when Abir came out, she did not show any concern and just turned away.

How are these the actions of a loving mother?

Honestly the episode broke my heart. The writers have made Abhir out to be such a tragic hero at this point.

Meenakshi- She is literally the most insensitive mother. She had no qualms in ruining her son's exhibition and whats more surprising is that the writers din't even bother to show her worried for Abhir after Kunal-Mishti came out alone. Not even a nano-second of panic on her face that her first son might be stuck inside.

Kunal- Am honestly so pissed off that he hasn't found it important enough to clarify that it was Abhir who rescued Mishti. I don't know if he will on Monday but so far he has no qualms in stealing credit and basking in the glory.

Badi maa- This woman honestly sucks. Am done with her melodrama. I hope she is given a tranquilizer 🤪

Mishti- Is this girl dumb or plain bipolar? She actually risked her life to save a painting and clearly saw that it was Abhir who jumped in to save her yet the moment she wakes up, all she can think of is how Kunal did not abandon her like her father?

The sad part is only mami seemed to care about the fact that Abhir is hurt and attended to him. All these characters and their cumulative insensitivity/dumbness/daftness combined with Abhir's realization and palpable heart break when he walks out of the hall makes you almost unfairly dislike the other characters. But you really can't help it at this point šŸ˜† Shaheer was fantastic throughout the episode. Your heart really breaks for Abhir. That expression on his face when Kunal walks out with Mishti, him stumbling upon her earring, carefully safeguarding her specs and keeping it in Kunal's pocket, walking out holding her dupatta for dear life- damn. You really want to root for the guy and his love. Am frankly done with Kunal-Mishti and their nonsensical track. Meenu and badi maa need to be packed off to a pagal khana. Just make Abhir smile man. Need of the hour šŸ˜†

I loved today's episode so much that I am willing to look beyond that stupid dialogue they made Mishti say! :) And I was going to make a thread but will post my thoughts right here in yours! :)

Kudos to Shaheer- his performance was very moving. He has always been one of the bright spots of this show. He is one of those actors who makes you FEEL. I could feel Abir's love for Mishti when the realisation spread through him- from his heart to his head and then from his eyes to his smile. šŸ‘

Ooooh yes!!!! I absolutely loved him today. From his voice hitching ever so slightly when he said that shayari, to Abir realising his love for Mishti - Shaheer just owned this scene and absolutely rocked it. What a performance. Like you say, you can feel the realisation spread through him. And that lone tear in his eye - both when he realising his feelings and when he walks out and sees the family around Kunal - wow - I mean I can't say much without making it sound like mush (eeeek did I just write that down?) - but notice the difference he brought in the expressions. The first instance was like, wow, I am in love waala tear and the next was his world slipping away like sand but he being helpless to do anything about it.

Once again, Kudos Shaheer, I am amazed!!!

Rajan and team need to give more of KuKu - but what I think is they are waiting for Kunal to go ahead with the engagement and then get started with their love story - don't ask me why, I have absolutely no freaking clue.

That KuKu scene from 2 days ago (the MD scene) was amazing and they are amazing together - they should definitely have more scenes

Moving on, why are they making Mishti so buddhu? I am sorry but when there was a great moment like Mishti risking her life for Abir's painting and then Abir risking his life to save her, how could they twist that around for Mishti to think that it was Kunal??? 🤬

I am going to have short term amnesia like Ghajini and edit this blunder out!!!!

See, it's ok that she did say Kunal came in for me. She is searching for reasons to go ahead and not listening to her heart, but whatever. But if I was the writer what I would have done is having her look around her table and the rajvansh table in search of Abir - not finding him and then panicking. And when she sees him, rush over to him and give him a hug and then scolding him for putting his life at risk for her. And nanu watching all this and catching on. I know this isn't going to happen, But a girl can dream, right?

But atleast they should have had her look for Abir and panic. And be relieved when she sees him walk out.

Bravery award. šŸ™

Yeaaah I found that scream too OTT too. But her character is OTT. it was in the original show - as in she always worries and get tensed at all small things - but I thought that changed - anyway. But surprised as ata Sabharwal seth is a decent actress and she was very good as Akshara's mother - I felt she could have emoted better - what was the need to close her ears and shout mishti's name?

Meenakshi- What can I say about this disgrace of a mother? She should stop deluding herself into thinking she does things for her 'family'? First, she decided to 'unmask' Mishti at Abir's exhibition. She knows it is important for him. It's his livelihood after all. She simply didn't care about it. How are these the actions of a loving mother?

The less said about her the better - which mother says it's ok if his exhibition is ruined - I'll give him the money? What?? I was like huh - you gave birth to him or what??

I was shaking my head the whole time her rant was on - I understand that she was angry her sons put their life at danger for a girl, but still!!!!

God knows what the writers have planned for the next week - I'm damn sure Abir isn't going to confess and that stupid engagement segment is going to be shown.

But my only hope is nanu - he has caught on to Abir's feelings let's see what happens - hope the writers don't downplay that!!!!

There! My thoughts in blue/purple whatever. :) :)

You write so well - that part on Abir was everything I wanted to say but couldn't find the words to express. :)

Abir is every Indian TV female lead right now- ignored, misunderstood and taken for granted. Maybe this is Rajan Shahi's idea of a revolution šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø Apart from him, Kuhu, Jasmeet, Nidhi, Kaushal, maybe Varsha, the others are inconsistent and behave bizarrely at times. There was a scene where Shaurya asks Kunal where Kuhu is and seems so nonchalant when Kunal runs off to save her. Then Abir tries to run inside and suddenly he perks up to restrain him. I found it weird that a father would hang back while his daughter was trapped inside.

Meenakshi is straight up irredeemable in my opinion. She is a monster and it's sad how they just sweep her crimes under the carpet. She is not very different from Naman actually. Just that unlike him, she likes to pretend to be a loving mother. How could she not give a damn about Abir's well-being? To be fair, she didn't show much care for Kunal either but it was still more than for Abir. When Abir came out, it didn't matter to her 'cause the issue was already 'resolved'. IDK what this show's definition of a loving mother is because Meenakshi is anything but that.

Kunal- Let's hope he does say so next week or will he not because Abir will ask him to? Like when the road accident happened? For today, I can excuse him not telling them 'cause everything was happening quickly and maybe clarifying that it was Abir at that time wasn't his top priority. BUT if the Maheshwaris make some extended display of gratitude for him and he does not tell them, that will be wrong.

Mishti- The answer is that the writers are bipolar. How did she go from risking her life for Abir to being all about Kunal? Yeh amnesia kya kehlata hai? I hate when characters make u-turns in the span of a scene. Shoddy writing, IMO.

Mami- Yes, I was pleasantly surprised to see her tending to his wounds. Honestly, she cared more for Abir in that moment than psycho Meenakshi who didn't even come to ask how he was doing. I find it hypocritical how they keep talking about Naman and how evil he is when Meenakshi is the same. Both of them consider their children pawns in the game to get what they want.

I am not going to tired of praising Shaheer for his performance today. This guy deserves it! His portrayal of Abir is fantastic and his efforts are applaud worthy! Today , the shayari part was my fav bit.

I have expressed this on another thread today... mishti is probably someone who is too analytical that she can focus on one thing at a time. Her focus now is on courtship and meeting Abir , knowing him, he becoming so important to her is her destiny but her mind is on courtship which means it’s on Kunal. Even though she has enough of reasons which are warnings not to go ahead , badi ma’s fangirling and Maheshwaris attitude that Kunal being last man standing on this earth for mishti makes her find a little positive in Kunal for her as a life partner ... she needs a red flag to put a full stop on courtship which hasn’t happened yet.

Maheshwaris attitude really amazes me. They are so compulsively committed to this risha for mishti . Kunal has become a worship hero for them.

I would be totally taken aback if mishti forgets that she collapsed in abir’s arms. Because as you said she had a conversation with him and saw him fighting fire to get to her. Her line for Kunal I assume at this stage was that he did come after her once he knew she was stuck inside. And this is different from Abir coming first to her.

Honestly yes Kunal does need to clarify with Maheshwaris or else they are already fans and now would turn to fanatics after this incident and his proposal for engagement so people shut talking about mishti and him.

Kunal and kuhu had their bekhudi moment too today. Wish they have more moments. Kuhu looked pretty in that costume.

Meenaxi is self righteous and insensitive. She didn’t care about her son’s hard work . Why can’t she just tell Kunal in person not to go ahead with rishta because of mishti’s dad’s background. It’s not like Kunal is in love with mishti that he would still want to go ahead if his mom is not happy with the risha. Or may be she wants to show herself as a bigger person who is accepting of anyone.

Let’s see till when the courtship play out. If they really mean to emphasize on #noisanoption which they were promoting then it will have to be mishti to decides end it.

At this point, I think the writers are just obsessed with prolonging the Kunal-Mishti track even if it means making the characters annoying and bipolar. They are probably building this up for a dramatic realization but I can only hope at this point that they don't take it so far that the story becomes irredeemable. I don't want to see Abhir pining away while Kunal-Mishti and badi maa continue with their annoying triangle 🤪

@Regarding Kunal, I honestly hope you are right but am really not sure if Kunal will bother to clarify. Will be happy to be proved wrong. Am already sick of him asking Abhir to do everything from writing a message to making Mishti's day special and unabashedly taking credit for it. But saving someone's life is huge and it will make Kunal look terrible esp because badi maa is soon going to go crazy with her fangirling šŸ˜†

Right now, more than the love story, am rooting for Abhir to run away from all these insensitive people for at least a month. Two more weeks of Kunal-Mishti and I will hope for him to run away permanently šŸ˜†

There! My thoughts in blue/purple whatever. :) :)

You write so well - that part on Abir was everything I wanted to say but couldn't find the words to express. :)

Thanks a lot šŸ¤— I always love reading your perspective so thanks for sharing it.

Yes, the highlight of the episode was Shaheer without a doubt. The thing with GOOD emotional scenes is it's not just about delivering the lines correctly or doing what you think would be context-appropriate. One part of executing them is technical expertise which a lot of actors possess but fewer get the rawness right- it's that inexplicable quality that tugs at your heart strings. I am not much of a mushy fangirl either but he really aced it, hence I have to say it. It really seemed like he was living the character. He made you FEEL that Abir loves Mishti and not just THINK it. I loved the peace that spread across his face as he said 'I love you, Mishti'- like he attained salvation.

Mishti's reaction- You said it, sister. I think you should write for the show and not these dumbos lol. Maybe it could have been a simple scene where Mishti thanks Kunal and everyone is gathered around them but her eyes search for Abir and are fixed on him when they do find him. It's amazing how she went from risking her life for a painting she thought was important to Abir to totally forgetting him once she came out. You are not Ghajini, she is. šŸ˜†

Badi Maa- I feel bad for the actress 'cause as you said, she is not bad otherwise. I don't recall her being this neurotic on YRKKH.

Meenakshi- I feel her dialogue about 'woh bhi uss ladki ke liye' meant that more than being angry with Abir and Kunal's actions, she was angry 'cause she feels Mishti is undeserving of it. That is so cruel to think when an innocent girl is stuck inside a burning building. Who is she to decide that Mishti is not 'worth saving'?

KuKu- So agree. They are amazing together and it's sad that the writers are not utilising their dynamic and chemistry. I think you're right, they will have Kunal and Mishti realise their feelings post the engagement because otherwise how will there be drama? The realisation will come at the mandap and then they will do rishta exchange once again and everyone will smile as if nothing happened. Nanu will say 'Chalo, ant bhala toh sab bhala'.

@bold- Err sorry, but that is exactly what will happen. I am warning you so that you can go on a retreat while they do this. šŸ˜›The precap is obviously false advertising 'cause Abir's confession can't be that simple. It's probably gonna be Abir day dreaming of telling Mishti but he will snap back to reality and then Mishti will say yes to Kunal's desire to do a naamkaran for their rishta. 🤪

Let's hope Kunal clarifies this because as you said, the other gestures could be interpreted as clueless guy taking help to woo a girl but this is not that. I feel Badi Maa will do his aarti when he proposes to Mishti so let's see how he reacts to her acting like he is Jesus.

Abir should take his theme song 'Udd chala' seriously and fly away lol. I thought he was supposed to be a banjara who doesn't stay around. What happened to that haha?

I think Badi Maa's pressure has made Mishti ignore the red flags because there have been quite a few so far- the biggest being Kunal's reaction to her job. He acted like a total jerk and she doesn't seem to be bothered by it. Kunal has given her enough reason to call it off but she has not. Only a 'green flag' can make her stop now- the green flag that will signal her towards Abir.

More than the Maheshwaris it is Badi Maa who is obsessed with this rishta. No one else is as gung ho about it as her and Vishambhar was gonna call it off if not for her interference.

I really hope Mishti has not forgotten about it but her reaction when she was outside made it seem so, 'cause she didn't even ask about Abir being safe- almost like she thought he was already outside.

Bekhudi moment- CVs should stop this behudgi and just give us more bekhudi and dheere dheere moments. šŸ˜†

Meenakshi- That is exactly what makes her a hypocrite. Why isn't she upfront with Kunal about her disapproval of Mishti? Kunal worships her so one word from her and he would call it off. He is not Abir to rebel against her, so I don't get all this lying and plotting. She is very image obsessed. She wants drag Mishti down so everyone blames her. She is actually super fake with Kunal 'cause the person she is with Kunal is not herself. Funny that Kunal and her both think they are very close when he really does not know the real Meenakshi.
