GFians, Anyone still facing new site/login issue here?

Hello All,

A) For any Issue -- please log it on the Global issue thread 😊

B) Login Issue -

As we all know that IF has revamped the site and is still going through many issues. One of the most severe among many is not being able to log in into the forum and thereby losing the id which was active earlier.

creating this specific topic in case the login issue is not solved for some of the members or in case you are not aware of the related updates.

The login issue is fixed now as announced by the Admin team on below topic link

If you are still facing the login issue then try following

1) on the login page - Give your username and password like before

if you have email id which you had given previously but you have forgotten the email id now or cannot access it now, then the login process gives an option to change email id. so change it to a new one and complete the verification (as it sends a verification link to the new email id that you give now)

2) If you remember the email id which you had given earlier and can also access it to check the mails, you can give that while logging in instead of username along with the password

If the issue still persists and if you have alternate IF id --

1) Post the issue on following issue threads, which are there in Global Announcement section.

You can only mention the username which is not working without sharing any other personal email or other details.

2) Send a PM to global moderator team and IF admin team

If you do not have alternate id, You can email the issue to the India Forum email id mentioned in this topic.

C)

Also you can check that if your username is not causing any issue, as those having special characters like underscore "_", hyphen "-" and some more at the beginning or end of their username, are suggested to be changed. Check the following post by Silvermist and the link given in the post.

Also Members please check if you have a valid username according to the New Username Policy to avoid any trouble in future.

Invalid usernames may have trouble accessing their account.

That is one big reason. Some may have tried many times and would have left the forum after the unsuccessful attempts. The migration to the new site is not done in a smooth way. Some may have created alternate id, but it is like starting all over again as a newbie. Hope all these issues are resolved, the login being the prime one.

True many left only few made new ids.. can't blame them ... who can tolerate such torture

You know now a days story views ( number far more ) than liking member ... so can guess many couldn't log in

There a bug in like button too... you need to click it multiple times. it may or may not work.

Yup faced it ... even without liking it says you liked it ... so I undo then press like again 🙄🙄

some time back the page numbers below thread topics was also not available..so every time it was clicking first page and then last or desired page, even for posting or reading comments. some extra views due to this problem.
