Part 3

Darji - I want to talk to you about something . We fixed your marriage and today they are coming to see you . We don't want any problem from your side. Get ready and be polite infront of them , don't insult me before them . We want this marriage to happen at any cost, I want you to behave properly . Go now .

Geet's Darji told her in one go even for once didn't look at her . He was reading newspaper and without looking he told her that her fate fixed and she have to accept it . She looked at her Dadi who seems too not caring about anything.

Geet- woh Darji ..

Before she can voice her own thought Dadi stopped her

Dadi - we are not asking your opinion but telling you . We have done enough for you , I think atleast now you can pay us like this .

Her Dadi told Geet her place without any hesitation ' a burden on them ' . This is happening from childhood . They always make decision for her. They didn't want her in their house , she accepted it and went to hostel without saying a word , thinking they will like her if she listen to them .

But no use , after completing school she thought she will continue her study back home but again they didn't ask her . They admitted her in college which is far way from Delhi and again she had to live in hostel .

From childhood she only wanted their love , attention but seems like even her Babaji hates her . After finishing study she thought she will make her family happy by doing something but today they snatching this chance too . What will she do now ? .

Geet - why can't for once I take decision for my life ? Why Babaji ? why you hate me so much ? Am i that bad ?

Tears fall silently and as usual it was unseen to everyone as if she doesn't even exist in this big house . Her Neeti Chachi was not at home , for once she is glad . It's only one month she is back from hostel and because of Geet, her chachi already heard many things . She doesn't want more misery for her chachi because of her bad fate .

At Evening

Khurana family came and first time her Darji smiled at her , she can feel it's all fake , a show off for guests but still she is happy . ' Beggars can't be chooser ', she is like that beggar for their love .

Dadi praised high Geet couldn't help but felt really uncomfortable because of all lies . She doesn't had courage to say it loud . After few minutes finally Geet got the chance to meet Maan alone . Before she went in her Dadi told her sternly .

Dadi - don't embarrass me .

Geet keep looking sadly at the way her Dadi went .

Geet - why they hate me so much ? Please Ma guide me . Tell me what should I do ?

She went in thinking of her mother , the only person who loved her and died while saving her . No she not ashamed of her being alive because her mother told her in letters, never to feel guilt or else she won't be in peace also she loves her very much , and she will be always with her . And never give up . Thats why she never gave up on trying to win her family love . She doesn't know now ,if she will get it ever ?

She saw Maan busy with his phone but when saw her gave a tight awkward smile . Both looked here and there not sure what to say . First time they are meeting and kinda clueless how to start conversation.

Geet - woh before you say something I want to clear what my Dadi said downstairs .

Geet was the first one to open mouth and she can never lie so she told him everything .

Geet - I can't cook Indian , forget Italian . I am not vegetarian too . Infact chicken is my favourite , I love street food . I can't sing but yes I'm a bathroom singer that too very bad one .

She said in one go then smiled uncomfortably , but continue ..

Geet - I don't have any special quality , I used to sit in a corner in any college program forget about participating . Dadi lied those , I didn't get any award be it for sports or any cultural program . I think you should know all this before take any decision . We may or may not tie in relation but our first encounter shouldn't be start with lies .

She finally stopped feeling light as she told him everything, and wait for his answer . She won't regret if he reject her right now but she can't deceived anyone with lies . It's aganist her moral .

Maan - it doesn't matter , I mean it's ok .

Geet surprised hearing him as he doesn't mind by all lies . Her grandparents will kill her if they know what she said still She took risk by telling him those , so that there won't have any big misunderstanding. She liked how he didn't judge her or her family .

After that things seem easy and they talked few minutes then Geet couldn't help but ask what is important for her .

Geet - I will be honest with you . I'm confused about this arrangement I mean we don't know each other now this sudden ..

He cut her before she can voice her thought about their sudden proposal .

Maan - My parents had arranged marriage and they are happy , I'm sure your grandparents did same and you can see the result . I don't think we will face problem .

He told her as matter of fact . Like this is most logical thing .

Maan - Many now doing arrange marriage . I'm sure we will work too , we would be good . Moreover my mother likes you and I have nothing to say . I will try my best to make you happy .

Geet didn't like what he said . What does it mean by his mother like her ? It's look like force . No doesn't want to get into another unwanted relation , another unwanted house . First in her whole life she was fighting to get her place in her own grandparents house , if she married him she will have to do same in her in laws too . Nope she doesn't want another bitter relation . She can't bear more dislike of others .

Geet - I'm sorry Mr Khurana but I don't think I'm perfect for you . I mean I don't want to enter in a relation where my future is uncertain. I don't want you to agree for this marriage because of your mother .

Saying so she she was about to go when Maan stopped her

Maan - I like you .

She looked at him shocked not believing his words .

Maan - I'm not going to say yes because of my Mom. But in truth I like your honesty . I like how easily you put forward your thoughts . May be I'm not head over heel in love with you but may be we can start by liking each other . Please do think about my words , I like you that much that want you as my wife .

Saying so he left leaving her in dazed . First time in her life someone likes her . Its not less than miracle . She still having hard to believe but before she can think about what Maan said, heard her Dadi congratulating Khuranas. Just then she realised she already in hall and marriage fixed without even asking her . Her Dadi didn't care to ask for her opinion and told them she is ready for this marriage . After what happened Geet was too shocked to remember anything.

Geet came back from past as Maan hold her hand.

Maan - DJ asking for dance , so ?

She nodded yes feeling shy . Both went middle, all surroundings them . Geet was too shy to look at him . If that day her Dadi asked her , no doubt she would have said yes . ' i like you ' those word changed everything . May be this is her chance to get love just may be .

Maan looked at her with confusion . Why she is so silent today ? That day she was so vocal . He didn't lie when he said he liked her honesty . Yes he does like straight forward people and Geet is one of them . But yes he did lie when he said he likes her . He said those only to convince her to say yes .

Love , dating was never big priority in his workaholic life . Yes he had few fling but not that type serious relationship . But he did wanted to marry a girl who would look perfect beside him . If he be honest his ideal girl won't be like Geet. Yes Geet is beautiful but not that traditional beautiful or love at first sight type beauty . She is average cute girl . If his mother was not in this condition he wouldn't have said yes .

But now he only hoping he won't have to regret in his decision and Geet will be perfect for him . She will help his mother to come out from her depression, he wants nothing more . But what about her emotion ? Like her family this thought didn't come in his mind .

Wonderful update maan is doing totally wrong with geet she will b very much hurt when she will know about the truth waiting for next plz update soon story is very interesting superb writing

Wonderful update. maan is right in one sense but he should also think about geets feeling a well. he is misleading her or can say just using her to satisfy his mothers wish, what about her own wishes.
