At Sharma Enterprises..

Arvind Sethi (Head of the Accounts Office at Sharma Enterprises)- Miss Naina Agrawal, today we have a special task for you. Please go to the old store room which contains accounts records of years 1980-1990 . We want you to classify records pertaining to dealings between Mr. Jaiprakash Maheshwari and Mr. Vinay Sharma.

Naina (a bit stunned on hearing Sameer's Nanu's name in this place) -Okay Sir.

At the company owner's cabin..

Vinay Sharma- I'll be more than glad to help you Sameer. Your Nanu Mr. Jaiprakash Maheshwari was an old friend of mine. I'm surprised Mr. Kamlesh Maheshwari had the audacity to make false claims despite strong proofs against it. Let's go to the old store room. You'll perhaps learn more about your Nanu's dealings with us.

In the store room..

As Sameer entered the store room , he dashed into someone . He held him/her to prevent him/her from falling. As Vinay switched on the lights, Sameer and the person he dashed against were both shocked. It was Naina . Naina quickly released herself from his hold and bent to pick up the files that had fallen.

Vinay-Arent you the new accountant Miss. Naina Agrawal?

Sameer looked with hurt and shock at Naina.

He fisted his hands as he tried to accept the fact that Naina didn't even want to have his name associated with her that's why she didn't take the job as Naina Maheshwari but Naina Agrawal.

Naina- A small correction sir. It's Mrs. Naina Sameer Maheshwari. I had retained my maiden name so that people judge me solely by my work.

Vinay looked at Sameer and asked- Is she your wife?

Sameer smiled through his unshed tears and said-Yes Mr. Sharma.

Vinay-I don't quiet understand why you're working here then. However I must say Sameer, whatever troubles are there ,Mrs. Naina is an efficient and smart worker. She'll be able to help you gain everything that you've lost.

Naina was confused and couldn't understand what had Sameer lost.

Vinay-Anyways that you're here,Mrs. Naina I would like to you to handover the documents pertaining to Mr. Jaiprakash Maheshwari after making all necessary records ,to Sameer.

Naina nodded her head while Vinay left for some other urgent work.

Finally Sameer and Naina were left alone in that dark store room with a few dim lights.

Sameer-Mera naam bhi nahi joda apne naam ke saath is office mein job ke liye. Sach batao ki kya bas yahi reasons the Jo tumne bataya?

Naina (pondered for a while and replied) - Shayad hai bhi aur nahi bhi. Is wakt humare naseeb mein kya hai nahi pata.

Sameer-Phir tumne Vinay ji se saaf saaf kyu nahi kaha.

Naina- Apne naseeb ka to nahi pata mujhe. Pad baharwalon ke saamne yeh pretence yeh tamasha ka shouk nahi. Aaj agar unhe nahi batati nahi kal ko pata chalta to poori duniya ko pata chal jaata.

Sameer (in tears)- Kya naseeb naseeb bol rahi ho. Main pyaar karta hoon tumse. I love you Naina. Phir kaisi uncertainty.

Naina(in a broken voice) Sameer, main is baat ko aage badhana nahi chaahti. Mere bolne ya samjhaane se kuch nahi hoga jabtak tumhe yeh samajh nahi aata ki ghar se nikalne wali baat pad mujhpad kya beeti hai.

Pata hai jab maine dekha varun jeejaji ne pooja di ko ghar bhej diya, chachiji ko chachaji Papa ki wajah se ghar se nikalne ki mod pe the. Tab lagta tha ki mera to Sameer hai. Main kitni khushnaseeb hoon ki yeh din mere jeevan mein kabhi nahi aayega. But aaya na Sameer? Isliye kehti hoon kismat mein kya likha hai nahi pata. (She sobs softly as she finishes speaking)

Sameer(pained to see the depth of her hurt, tries to hug her and says)-Naina I promise main...

Naina puts her hand on his mouth and says-Aisa koi waada mat karna jo nibha pana mushkil hai.

Takes a deep breathe and says,

Vinay sir kis baare mein baat kar rahe the Sameer? Business mein sab theek hai na?

Sameer-Main.

Arvind enters and says-Naina, are you done with your work?

Naina-Sir, I'm almost done. Vinay sir had instructed me to hand over some files to Mr. Sameer Maheshwari I'll do that and just come.

Arvind-Alright, make it fast. There's a lot of work pending for you.

Naina hands over the relevant files to Sameer and says- Abhi jaana hoga. Ghar jaakar baat karoongi tumse is baare mein.

Sameer leaves with the files upset that he couldn't share his tensions with Naina .

At night 11 'o' clock,

Sameer calls Naina, a sleepy Naina picks up the call and says, 'Koun bol raha hai,'. She steadies herself for a while and says, 'Sameer? '

She feels guilty that she had promised to talk to him but ended up sleeping after a tiring day at office. She had returned home at 9:00 pm and slept off as soon as she reached her room .

Naina-'I am sorry Sameer. Woh main thak chuki thi. Poori tareeke se. Pad phir mujhe bhoolna nahi chahiye tha. Batao na kya baat hai'

Sameer- 'Umm tum so jao. Kya hum kal mil sakte hai? '

Naina-'Alag reh rahe iska matlab yeh nahi ki humare hak khatam ho gaye ho ek doosre ke upar. Maine pehle bhi kaha tha tum jab chahe mil sakte ho'

Sameer-'Ghar pe nahi, kahi aur. Umm tumhara office 7 baje khatam hota hai na. To 8 baje milte hai tumhara office ke paas hi kisi restaurant mein. Main tumhe office se pick kar loonga'

Naina- 'Nahi office se nahi. Sabko pata lag jayega. Main auto se kuch door Manorama restaurant mein aa jaoongi. Woh zyada middle class type bhi nahi hai to tumhe fit bhi aayegi. Chachaji bas ekbar mujhe aur Preeti ko wahaan le Gaye the jab unke ek USA se client aaye the. Tab bohut chote the hum. '

Sameer (upset at her words) -Okay Naina.

Next Evening,

At Sharma Enterprises,while employees are preparing to leave for their homes..

Sonali, Angad- co-workers of Naina

Sonali- Pata hai tujhe Naina, abhi abhi sunne mein aaya hai ki Woh Maheshwari Industries hai na. Uske ownership ko lekar kuch problems chal rahi hai.

Naina remembers Sameer-Vinay's convo and asks- Accha kya hua hai?

Angad- Arey poocho mat. Jaiprakash Maheshwari ke baad to unke natin Sameer Maheshwari ko ownership transfer hona tha. Yahin to hum sabne expect kiya tha. But ab pata chal raha hai ki Koi Kamlesh Maheshwari owner hai. And Sameer apne Nanaji ke will ke kaagzaat lekar claim karne gaya tha. Aur doosri taraf Kamlesh ke paas bhi doosre will papers hai. Pata nahi ab aage kya hoga.

Naina is shocked and goes numb. She had expected problems but not of this level. Tears threaten to fall from her eyes but she composes herself and bids them goodbye.

On the way to Manorama restaurant, Naina cries to herself and remembers how Sameer had remained aloof for several days before they separated. Why didn't he share the problems he was facing? Why?

She remembers the slap and also how she had forgotten about the promise to speak to Sameer on that tiring day. She realised professional troubles do take a toll on people. The slap and his words still hurt. But now, she had decided that she will do everything to mend things for her Sameer, even while staying separate. It's necessary for them to solve personal issues, but professional problems required urgent dealings.

Naina walked towards the restaurant and found Sameer waiting outside for her. She rushed towards him and hugged him tight. Sameer was left pleasantly surprised at the sudden change in Naina's demeanor.

Naina-Sameer, tumhare ghar chale?

Sameer (shocked and happy at the same time. Happy tears spill out of his eyes. He grabs Naina's hands and says)- Tum sachmein ghar wapas aa rahi ho? Naina? Tumhe pata nahi ki main kitna khush hoon!!!

Naina-Ghar wapas lout rahi hoon ki nahi yeh nahi pata. Pad aaj ke liye main tumhare ghar mein hi rahoongi.

Sameer- Yeh tumhara ghar bhi hai. Naina tum.

Naina- Abhi wakt nahi hai is baare mein behes karne ka. Jaldi karo. Raat hone wali hai.

She sits behind Sameer's bike and both speed off towards Krishna Koustabhi.

The night , the silence and the chilly breeze added to the silent romance between the couple. That love, that had been hurt with recent incidents. But was strong enough to rise amd mend itself all over again.

As Naina entered Sameer's house, she looked around and realized how much she had grown attached to this place . Though she had technically been kicked out when she had left, she couldn't help but miss this place. And now, that things had started growing better on the personal front, it was breaking her resolve to stay separate.

Naina went to the kitchen and prepared 2 mugs of coffee for both of them .

Naina-Sameer, Mamaji ne jo kiya .. woh.

Sameer- Tumhe pata hai?

Naina- Aaj hi pata chala. Sonali aur Angad ne bataya. Sab kuch.

She became teary eyed and held Sameer's hand while Sameer felt curious about who this new guy "Angad" was.

Sameer- Yeh Angad koun hai?

Naina looked up at him and saw the scrunched up face of Sameer who clearly showed signs of jealousy.

Naina vo- Ufff usdin laga sir deewar pe patak doon. Ek to itna important baat karne aay thi aur sahabzaade jalne mein busy the.

Sameer vo- Aur jalta bhi kyu nahi bhala? Jis Naina ke muh se aajtak classmates ya bhaiyon ke alava kisi larke ka naam nahi suna tha, aaj janaab ne Mr . Angad Srivastav ki jagaj Seedha Angad bula liya.

Naina- coworker hai. Woh chodo. Dekho Sameer pehle to humein ek accha sa lawyer dhundhna hoga. Pad mujhe details mein batao sab kuch.

Sameer narrates to her how after obtaining will papers from Mr. Vinay Sharma he had gone and presented the papers to Mamaji. Instead of accepting that he had cheated ,Mamaji had presented documents stating that Nanu had left his entire property in name of Kamlesh.

Sameer had even insisted on having the secret lockers opened . Mamaji said that the papers he had shown him where the ones from the secret lockers and had forcefully had him thrown out by the guards.

Sameer was shaken out of the bitter memories of that encounter by something wet falling on his hands. He turned to see Naina crying.

Sameer wiped her tears and said-Naina tum kyu to rahi ho? Hum kuch na kuch upaay nikalenge zaroor. Please ek baar smile kar do. Isliye nahi batana chaahta tha tumhe. Tumhari muskaan se hi to jeene ki shakti milti hai mujhe.

Naina- Pati ka apmaan hone se sabse zyada dard patni ko hota hai Sameer. Aur kis muskaan ki baat kar rahe ho tum? Yeh jo bhi hua in dinon humare beech main bohut khush lagi tumhe? Pati-patni hai hum Sameer. Aur jitna adhikaar tumhari khushi ka bhageedaar banne ka hai mera, utna hi adhikaar tumhare dukh aur kasht ke bhageedaar baanne ka bhi hai. Kyu cheenna chaahte ho tum mujhe yeh hak kyu?

And hugged Sameer tight.

Crying in each other's embrace, when they fell asleep they didn't realise.

Pheww Finally Updated. The new updated version of IF doesn't seem to allow any changes in the topic 😐. I will update the first post of this topic with links to different parts. But I don't understand how will I convey that this topic has been updated. If anyone has any suggestions, do give them 😊
