Neena Gupta Srk" border="1" vspace="5" hspace="5" />Neena Gupta has been one of the most honest persons in Bollywood. Every time she interviews, some candid confessions come to the surface and well, we just adore all those honest confessions to the core.
Recently, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, Neena Gupta talked about her daughter Masaba who is currently an ace designer. She talked about the time when Masaba aspired to become an actor and seeked Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar's help.
No No don't get us wrong. She didn't ask SRK and Karan Johar to launch her daughter or anything. She asked them to convince Masaba not be an actress. The time was when she traveled with the two on a plane one day. They got to talking and she asked for their help. They both agreed to do it but when she called them to actually convince Masaba, they didn't pick up her calls.
Neena said,"Yeah so mean, cheap kinda of people they are," Neena Gupta joked and added: "They gave me there number and phir phone he nahi uthate the (didn't take my calls)." However, she was pleasantly surprised when Rajeev told her than one of them had told Rajeev about her request to convince Masaba not to become and actor.
If she was an actress herself, then why did she wish this for her daughter? Well, she answered that too. She said,""I told her if you want to be an actor then you go abroad. Because tumhara jis tarah ka shakal hai aur body hai, tumhe yahan Indian mileu mein bohot kum role milenge, even if you become a good actor. So, tumko woh heroine nahi milegi. Hema Malini nahi banoge, Alia (Bhatt) nahi banoge."
True that. Now Masaba is a popular fashion designer and is great friends with many Btown super stars. She didn't need that much convincing after all.
