Sara Ali Khan has irked a lot of Shah Rukh Khan fans of late after she addressed Shah Rukh Khan as 'uncle' in a recent award show, as can be seen in this video. A lot of Twitter users took to the platform to express their discontentment at Sara's gesture. Some Sara fans too came forward to take her side, stating that its beyond obvious that SRK's kids too will address Saif Ali Khan as 'uncle' by way of respect. Nonetheless, it is worth noting that Sara's father Saif Ali Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are contemporaries and are even close in age.

Yaar kia bakwas hai..uncle hi bolegi na ab woh. Bachapan se uncle bolati hogi. Salman,aamir sab uncle heun. Why would they feel offended? They should not. Helen ko helen aunty..saleem uncle woh sab loog toh bilkul okay heun,then why them? Okay, there are still in business,but they should gracefully accept their age. Srk still wants to play youngster..salman at least played an older wrestler in sultan, tiger series mein bhi not a man in twenties,same for bharat I guess. Aamir i hope will not attempt it again. But the heroines have they started out with are long gone aur yeh loog botox karwa kar abhi tak heun 🥱

@Bold: What nonsense! 😵 SRK also has played a man in his 40s in all his recent movies.

Sara called SRK uncle because her dad co-starred with SRK in movies. By the same logic she can call Sallu, Aamir, Akki and Ajay as Uncles too. They are all in the same age bracket and debuted around the same time.
