Take the prime example of Kesari.. A film with phenomenal WOM, and great story underperforms..

Aunty might create the hype but at the end of the day, Alia does work for the audience which is why they see her movies.. You just cannot discredit her success and attribute it all to Kjo

Unfair? Yes.. Killing competition? Perhaps.. But she sells.. And thats why all those directors respond to the blatant lobbying by Kjo..

one cannot completely disregard Alia's success saying she has no role in it.. She has accomplished a lot at 26 years of age, with help yes, but with her hard work as well

I would have given Rani.
If not her, than Tabu and finally Alia.
Did she deserved more than these two in my opinion??
No.
But was she completely undeserving?? No. Because her performance in Raazi isn't bad at all.
It is in fact a very good performance.

For Raazi ok, who else is there otherwise? Pc is not acting.

Did she get it for Raazi? If yes, well deserved. All I could see throughout the movie was Sehmat, not once did I think it was Alia enacting as Sehmat.
