What I think is that voting is not even taken into consideration. Maybe, they just want to cash in the data that people put for voting.

Indeed they are.

Where the male lead is not a disrespectful jerk and the female lead is not bimbo who sacrifices her relationship in the name of circumstances. In fact they've always gone out of the way to get back together lol

What I've observed in almost all voting results of ITV...be it reality shows or award shows...they take popularity as well as voting both into consideration. For winning an award both of these factors are needed in equilibrium. I'm sure Surbhi and Pearl had the hype...it's in the votes they must've lost.

Nevertheless I've always believed that rewards > awards. Surbhi has enough... Pearl will reach there soon.
