If it is to avoid the Kurkur of a cracky husband, I think it is too early in the marriage to do so. Generally in early on in the marriage, the couples are too keen to please each other than hiding under the blanket to avoid the partner. Generally selective hearing happens much later in marriage where you hear what you want to hear and rest is blah. If Naina is already doing that, then she is super smart and is already setting standards for the days to follow and already know who to avoid altercations with your spouse. But then how is it possible to envision Naina as a super smart girl anymore after all the things that she has done wrong recently.

If it is because of apprehension of getting intimate, than the VO has already told us that she knows nothing about consummation in marriage or Suhagraat except song from Kabhi Kabhi. If you don't even know, what is there for fear at all? Know not, fear not.

About the French kiss, did she really believe Sameer or did she think he was just pulling her leg?

All the things that are happening are oxymoron for me. Is she super smart or super dumb? Is she apprehensive of intimacy or completely ignorant? Is she college topper or pseudo-intelligent? I really believe that CVs need to keep it consistent so that we can decide how we are going to judge Naina?
