One sided love story in friendship

This is most probably my first post in this forum. To introduce myself, I had never watched sbrk in the beginning, I started watching it on n off only after the EMA was revealed because Aditi was praised all over the social media, so wanted to watch it for her. Post leap I have watched it thoroughly because the kids got me hooked, specially the girl playing pari. But again, story was all messed up, so I was not really involved. But I m totally aware of the fan wars that happened. Let me make it clear for myself, in real life, I wouldn't want any person to get back with someone who cheated them. But then, in the show, maunal's journey was given more story and the actors were amazing so they always gave me more couple vibes, hence I loved them more...as against mauhaan who were not really explored, specially mauli's side n hence I couldn't connect with the end game and I never liked the actor playing ishaan...so yeah...that's that for season 1.

Season 2 is a fresh start without any prejudice for any character. Neither pari nor mishti deserve anything bad just because of what their parents did, nor I have favouritism for any girl because of the set of parents they have. Based on what's being shown in this season, I'll decide whom I like more...n right now, it's Pari for me. I find mishti a bit boring n her perfect jaap irritates me. Whereas Pari seems to be a happy go lucky girl where her phobia doesn't get reflected in her every action. Also, I don't understand the pain that mishti has gone through (I have read all the theories on that, still I fail to understand). However I can understand Pari's pain. N acting wise, I didn't like aneri much in her previous shows, but she is doing great so far. I had never seen tejasswi's previous work but had heard a lot about her, so was excited...but not really impressed, her voice is too sweet for my liking. Given my honest opinions, this is just as of now n none of this forms a basis for my opinion on whatever happens in the future.

Now coming to the topic. I hate these one sided love among chuddy buddies stories. Y do they have to make the lover a love sick puppy n the other one least bothered about the feelings that the lover has! This makes the lovers look very very stupid n foolish n the other ones very heartless though they r not. In aneri's previous show, she had played similar love sick puppy role n now she gets to play the opposite. Be it a friendship or a relationship, no person ALWAYS gives in to the other's wishes this selflessly nor a person always behaves so oblivious to what the other one feels for u even after knowing it. I like the friendship of pari n arnav...they r really cute. But they need to stop making arnav roam behind pari every damn time n doing her haanji haanji. N we need to see at least a bit of change in their dynamics after arnav's love confession...how can things remain totally unchanged? Pari doesn't give a damn about his love...neither she reciprocates it, nor it boosts her to think about what she feels for him, nor she gets even a bit awkward ever. In a love story, one person doing every effort n the other being totally oblivious to each of them is really unreal n it gets annoying after a point. Pari-Arnav dynamics need to gear up before it gets boring. (Honestly, I love them as friends only...can't imagine them as a couple. But then, can't see their friendship suffering due to Pari's rejection)

On the side note, I m totally loving pari n ruhaan together. KJ is master in playing such intense characters...his eyes r love! At times he reminds me of intense omkaara...my most favourite among the obros. I would like watching more n more of their scenes. Though pari too needs to stop her love sick puppy looks whenever she encounters with ruhaan!

I think I had read your comments in NK & YHM forums if I am not wrong. And I agree with all of the things you have pointed out here.

The only difference is you have started watching Season 2 with a fresh perspective & I have finished with Season 1 because I don't want to watch another show where good actors will hook me up but the story will make me suffocate. 😭

About one sided love-story, specially between friends, it is one of the most cliched yet poorly described territory in ITV. Plus, these days when storytellers keep flipping their story to gain more TRP & audience start shipping a particular couple, one of the three people unnecessarily becomes negative to sail the ship. 😡

About friendship, I believe, we become too much dependent on our best-friends as they are our daily companions. And as we are each other's shield, sometimes people actually fail to notice the subtle change in the other friend who is trying to impress him/her. They take it as their daily routine where your best friend's happiness means more to you. Another important thing here is, sometimes some people think since they know everything about each other and makes the other one complete, may be he/she is the one. While some think the exact opposite and can think that with time the other will understand this form of dependency and realize that he/she wasn't really in love. So it is possible that Pari is taking it lightly and ignoring Arnav's feeling.

So, all I wish from this pair is they develop their story instead of rushing to the romance part & do shed some lights in these aspects.

As for the puppy face, sometimes ITV gets overboard with such scenes and selfless acts which actually looks dumb on screen.
