Why did Anurag marry Komolika?

I stopped watching the show for a bit, but now I have started again, I am actually very confused Why this Anurag married Komolika this time? Last Anurag's reason was a promise from his mother but what is this Anurag's reason?

That's actually true as my mum just got my younger brother, who is only 11 months younger than me (he's 23) married this month. Why? Because he won't stop going out with his friends to smoke and have weed, that too when he hadn't passed maths, passed driving or got a job yet. Just try and wrap your head around the lack of logic in that. Our south Asian parents actually think marriage will bring responsibility and be the solution to everything. The lunacy of my family when it comes to their obsession with marriage angers me because they prove time and time again that marriage matters to them more than anything.
