Exclusive! Varun Dhawan to star in Aanand L Rai's next film?

Varun Dhawan is one of the most reliable stars in today's times. The actor has some big hits to his name and his performance at the box-office has been consistent. Varun is currently busy shooting for Remo D'Souza's next film Street Dancer alongside Shraddha Kapoor. According to our sources, Varun is in talks with Aanand L Rai for his next venture. It is believed that Varun will start working on the project after he completes shooting for Street Dancer.

Varun can straddle both mainstream and meaningful fare with ease. His arty outings like Badlapur and October prove his desire to delve into unknown territory. Ranveer is also doing kabir's next after tubelight and karan's next after adhm and soty, Ranbir is doing karan malhotra's next after brothers and hrithik-tiger doing sid's next film even if he has delivered only below average movies and the list goes on. Yeah like Ranveer chose to do 83 and Gully Boy after Tubelight and DDD. Funny enough. Zoya isn't in big league as you say. This woman's films are guaranteed success that she could be put amongst Hirani, Bhansali, Kabir, Ali, Anand, or Shetty. Heck Farah Khan has better success ratio and guaranteed success than Zoya.

As for Anand. He's last was a flop due to various reasons, one being extremely high budget. Remo's Race 3 you can laugh and yet collected more than your favs success. Street Dancer is his forte.

The fact is Varun doesn't need big names for success unlike Ranveer does. Working with established names, where your success is credited to your director goes to show your star power in true sense. Varun - gave hit with Sriram who had never given hit prior Badlapur, he gave a super hit with Remo who is usually bashed for whatever he makes. And he also worked with Shashank who debuted with VD in lead. Shashank's name along with Raju Hirani, Sooraj Barjatya, Inder Kumar, Aditya Chopra stamps to be the only directors to deliver 3 back to back success from inception of their career. And each had a star to credit - Salman - Sooraj, SRK - Aditya, Sanjay - Raju Hirani, Madhuri - Inder Kumar. Here Shashank has credited his success to Varun. Hence Varun is also working with another big director who is also big coz of him.
