"I love you,Anurag!",sang Komolika in her overtly sweet vocals while her one finger twirled around her messy hairs and the other clasped his upper hand.
Prerna, now called as Prerna Basu, who sat opposite to Anurag,on the dining table,passed death glares to him. Buttering her yet another bread to prepare a veg sandwich, "Witch!"she muttered under her breath.
"I HATE you,Anurag Basu!"Prerna mouthed to him,when their eyes met in the frickle of the moment. And Geez, he looked at her like a long lost dream when Mohini decided to take a step in seeing the room budding in tension.
"Komolika-Ownu,my sweethearts,I am in awe of you two. How beautiful of a pair you make together! Stay together always...besides some evil eyes that laid on you."spoke Mohini in her blithe vocals,eying Prerna from the corner of her eye. "Oh,yeah! You both definitely need it."Prerna huffed with mischievous glint dancing in her eyes but only Anurag knew those were actually hiding her tears,"Maybe with your blessings their always may extend to few days more and then...after that...the good pair would be all broken; isn't it Komolika?!...Anurag?!"
"PRERNA SHAR-"began Komolika in an heated voice.
"Ah-ah-...Not Sharma now. It's Prerna. Prerna Anurag Basu!"Prerna stretched on the latter, going all breathless. Unknow to Prerna herself,she cried as a lone tear slid down and realised it when the brine touched her chin. Anurag noticed it and it pinched his heart. Numerous of thoughts struck him but none lead to the conclusion on how should he begin to tell about the manipulation he incurred from Komolika and then the most fearing thought struck him.
Would she trust him after what he did to her? Though he knew he pretended it all ,but to her it became a reality.
Komolika and Mohini sat sushed on their seats and no longer planned up to belittle her for Prerna has been on high alert gathering up the evidence against them for multiple cases she filed up and one among those was of 'Mental Harassment' another than "Double marriage in Hindu Marriage Act".
"There is no use of talking Komolika. After all not everyone has a standard to our words."chimed Mohini in a low whisper, hoping that Prerna couldn't record it in her phone anyway but intended to point out to her barely.
"And there is no use of talking with the people who has lived entire life till now, all brainless."Prerna retorted in fake polite vocals passing a tight lipped smile.
"Prerna!"this time it was Anurag who countered in his vulnerable voice ; pressing his digits in a fist to unsurp that feeling of betrayal he felt and guilt of betraying her too.
"Don't shout... Anu-raag!"Prerna maintained her poise in sweet voice when internally she was blazing fire.
"Well,I wasn't regarding you exactly...but looks like you all agree to my words anyway."a smirk drawing on her lips as she started at Komolika who sat darting holes in Prerna's skin,with nothing, but her eyes as the Nikkka background music played.
"Hmm... I am impressed! You know what,Prerna? There's something in you that attracts me-"Komolika paused abruptly realising she was sitting with Mohini and Anurag so she complied and changed her tone into subtly challenging amidst the hatred,"I mean that attracts me to know how low can you stoop up to. Not for even a once thought of Dad's (Moloy) health. It was his wish to see me and Anurag married and now when we are you came to spoil our world. Our happiness. Wasn't that act you pulled up on our engagement day enough?"
"You even slapped MY Anu. And he didn't say a word to you about it keeping in mind that you recently lost your father. You...you claim to be his first wife;right?...Is this what a wife does?!"Komolika pretended the hurt in her voice, touching Anurag's left cheek as if feeling the sting of Prerna's slap.
"Yes!...This is what a wife does when she discovers her husband betraying her for any sake!"Prerna yelled,and stood up eying Anurag" This is what a wife does,Komolika." She took few steps back asiding the chair and spoke with a sarcastic humour "I guess,I should get going or else I know no body could here digest some food after the truths you have to gobble down."
Saying so she left for her room not before instructing the servants to prepare Poha for her as she isn't the mood to have her sandwich anymore.
"Um...I have to make...an important call to Delhi."saying so Anurag stood up to leave while jerking his arm out of Komolika's hold. Nivedita along with Anupam was off to Delhi branch of Basu publication for an important project they grabbed there and Kolkata headoffice was under guidance of Anurag for now.
"Prerna!"Anurag twirled Prerna around as she clashed to his chest.
"I hate you ,Anurag Basu! ...Just stay away from me."She pushed him away and turned to unlock her bedroom door.
(Or for a change if it's Anupre's plan to burst Komolika's truth)
"I am sorry!...I know,my apologies won't suffice to the pain but I am going through the same. I love you too. More than my life."He groped her to the wall, embracing her tight as he breathed in her tresses.
"No you are a lier!...if you loved me more than your life you won't have let me go like that. You won't have done that to me."Prerna's hold on Anurag grew tight as she held on his shirt. Her tears aren't ceasing with the whirlpool of emotions she went through.
"Do you even realise...the pain I have to go through?!"she mumbled painfully detaching him an inch away. Anurag wobbled his lips to say something when she stopped him from saying further with her finger that rested on his lips. "No..no... it's my turn to say. If it wasn't for Anupam Da who told me truth I would have sucked to death thinking about your betrayal all my life. Not for even once you thought to share it with me...I too have a say in this. It was for me you married her, for my house but for even once you thought what I wanted."She cried.
"No. You had your own assumptions and did what you wanted to. This...this relationship was mine too."she spoke swinging her index finger between them. "I wanted you above all. You were my home. You are my home. And about me marrying to Naveen Babu,all that was because I wasn't in love with anyone then. I wasn't committed to anyone. I--I didn't make promises of living forever to anyone. I didn't."She further added, with her tears not ceasing as Anurag moved ahead to cup her face in his palms and tried to brush her tears away with his kiss.
Prerna clutched his hands at her sides, breathing in his longing touch after so long and kissed his palm. "I love you more than just anything else. I know that house is really important for all of us,for me and my family. Most importantly because it has Baba's memories but Anurag do you really think we will cherish those memories when heartbroken. Memories aren't something one saves in materialistic belongings, it isn't a photograph that stays in some cellphone and one it's broken all will be diminished. Memories are what we preserve in our heart because eventually all those materialistic belongings break into fragments."She rubbed away her tears, sucking in for air.
"Memories don't just vanish like that, because it would have been kept alive in our hearts. Baba isn't with us now, physically though,but in our hearts we can feel him around us. He is alive in us and... seeing his family broken,his daughter's self respect at stake he would have been more than hurt than losing that house."She turned to enter her room and shut the door closed in an instant. She wasn't in her strong frame and couldn't stand there anymore. On the otherside, Anurag stood leaning on the door listening to her sniffles that tugged his heart but there wasn't more he could do about. All that he has in his hands is nothing but, GUILT.

So how was this? Emotional? May be to bits it was. Sorry, couldn't help myself writing that way. I am accustomed to that.
But anyway the basic discussion about this scenario starts here itself, though the above scene looks so emotional and one can feel the pain but if I say it is relatable would you agree with me? Probably not! Even I can't.
The twists and turns are good until one can relate to it. Till now,as they portrayed the budding friendship of Anurag and Prerna it was beautifully craven and something everyone of us was able to feel through the cast's acting skills minus the dramatic dialogues. But here,after this latest promo released I am really unable to relate to any of it. There have been many among us who suffered through break-up after promises of marriage but eventually we learnt to move on in life.
I really prefer grey and flawed characters over white and black and flawless. I really appreciate the way CVs brought a flawed Anurag when he didn't share what happened between him and Komolika or actually asked her if she wants her house more than him but it wasn't acceptable when he insulted her in front of all. It was more like he insulted their relationship. At least he shouldn't do that because some truths might be hurting but we eventually have to accept. Prerna had the right to know about it.
I liked Prerna's fiercy woman avtaar too when she spoke for curses, because that's how a normal human breaks down after a betrayal.
But I lost that appreciation right after the promo, they didn't showed a fiercy Prerna here but a random girl who kept her self-respect at stake. And that would remain same throughout no matter if it's her plan with Anurag.
Is there anyone who had a harsh breakup like this and gate crashed into your ex's house for the sake of his/her promise to be married to you? No! We don't.
Specially after that abundance of insult.
We rather choose to move on and as a reply to our insult we build ourselves stronger. We work on our career. And moreover Veena isn't so carefree as a mother to let her daughter keep their respect at stake for a meagre revenge as they portray. Even if they are so desperate for there are many other ways too.
On a brighter side let us assume ,Prerna come across Anurag's sacrifice but it would be time she has to acknowledge it first if he really wants to be with her or might end up insulting her again in mob for she trusted him(though for pretense).
Eventually,any real life girl would understand to let him be with the choice he made. She might be grateful to him and cannot forget to love him but then she know she has to move on somehow because the person she loves is legally/officially married to someone with his own choice. He had a choice over that, he should have better asked Prerna too if she wants her house or him and then decide what to do.
It's more of his coward attempt to walk away with ease. And practically,no company go bankrupt like that. People fall sick and it's reality. If some owner is in critical condition that doesn't mean the company would go bankrupt.
Anurag didn't use rationality to check whether Moloy really borrowed loan from them and if so,there must be any leagal document for statement. The previous bank statements and company account should be checked before he so blindly trusted on her.
For me the story is turning out to be more than crap; probably more than season 1. It's getting really shitty and if I am still watching it's for the sake of Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandez. Their acting deserve appreciation.
I have a lot more to say on this but don't have the same amount to time to present so will end here. What's your say on this?
PS: Please quit on watching it on TV or Hotstar till this track runs. May be they somehow begin to show something relatable.
