well as for me if Deepika doesn't come this year when she will arrive on scene i thk i will again fall in admiration for this girl...alia doesn't have star factor in her...karan n company may see her as the super actress but most public n viewers and i am talking about people in my environment doesn't like her at all.

Firstly they are competitors. Don't know if they can be call contemporaries. Comparison is bound to happen.

Secondly, KJo might have given things to Alia on platter and curated her, but there is just so much that a mentor can do. If KJo is to be blamed, well then let's even blame SLB for serving BM and Padmavat on DP's platter, her last two hit movies of that is still keeping her relevant, apart from her wedding. She was good in Ram Leela. The less I talk about her acting in BM, the better. Still SLB served Padmavat in her platter.

Thirdly, it is audience who has watched, accepted and consequently given successful run to Alia's movies as they have with DP's. So if anyone it is audience who is to be blamed the most.

Forthly, Star power of both Alia and DP is debatable. DP has a better screen presence but when was the last time she carried a movie entirely on her shoulders? Which was the last movie that pulled audiences to theatre entirely because of her? Alia at least pulled audience to theatre solely because of her name with Raazi. However, she did not carry the entire movie on her shoulders, Vicky and ensemble cast were phenomenal, better than Alia.
