Speaking of Alia Bhatt, she is overrated. She isn't really beautiful or a versatile actor. However she can play the girl next door quite well. Sure, she was good in Udta Punjab and Gullyboy but she isn't all that she's made put to be. I feel she is lucky as she managed to come to the industry at a time when the competition wasn't that high, apart from Deepika. If she had debuted a decade back, people would have rejected her outright.
And I think you should give her the leverage of getting the over popularity. After all , she is the girl who glamorised the art of being " ignorant " and made it sound cool.
KJO shoving her into our faces doesn't leave people with much of an alternative either.
