For ph this is not time for negative buzz around Udaan, for Rangu this is even less time for negative buzz. So I don't think anything of this is intentional.

She is lead now. Or will be. She can't act as distraction for anyone. Talking about Tanya, Tanya talking - now it is talking about Udaan. She isn't playing Imli. Bashing Tanya or Anjor is bashing Udaan. Bashing Udaan is bashing Udaan makers.
And she definitely isn't serving as distraction for #NoMeejayNoUdaan or other hashtags. Because makers simply don't care for that and media also.

Tanya provoked fans with her tweets before she even appeared in Udaan. First bad move.
She claims to be lead. Second bad move.
She is contradicting in her interviews (both are in fact, but that guy contradicting himself turned out to be more funny and obvious that he is lying which has nothing to do with fans while on other side whatever Tanya says it looks like its related with fans - almost all her first interviews in Udaan are about Udaan and Sukor fans - and it provokes fandom more then silly fact that male lead watched Udaan in 10th standard.) Third bad move.

Tanya should have censored her words in interviews. No one commented anything about ml coz what can we say: he lied in his iv but we have no idea about his character. While on other side she did reacted on criticising and negative feedback on Anjor (before she signed for the show she should've know more about character and how is it accepted). It provoked fans wrath... then this topic started leading her interviews and behaviour... and all in cycle. She provokes us, we provoke her, and in meantime someone, be it media or pr is using it for publicity. Fourth bad move.

The fact is both new leads and am sure rest of the cast have no idea what was udaan and what was it about. If so they should have either be honest or avoid situations to talk about that.

I think she is blunting too much of informations she has been told by ph in her interviews. She even told there is pressure on them to either maintain trp or increase it just not to let it down. Ph doesn't have excuse of trp stable/decreasing for bringing this leap now. They were fine with 1,3 Udaan was getting.
I guess she was told Udaan was all about freedom and it was social and that's one of the reasons for our anger and disappointment but someone should have explained her that "IT WAS". With new cast and characters coming and this leap Udaan lost its concept and now there is no way to bring it back. And she should not use that argument anymore because it is just provocation for those who watched show past 4.5 years and nothing more.

I agree Tanya should have watched what she said. Her words were provoking fans more. But at least the new ML was honest in his interview today. He has no illusions about carrying the show on his slender shoulders. His role is simply to play the part of a guy who is madly in love with a girl. I don't think he even knows about the original concept of the show. He thinks it is a love story.

Udaan is all about strong social messages and powerful performances. Even Imli was better than this male lead (never thought I would say this someday).
If they were so desperate for the generation leap, they should have taken care of a few things. Give a proper ending to SuKor/ Raghkor. Get a good male lead with strong screen presence opposite Tanya. Also make Anjor a little less irritating. On top of that, that new guy doesn't look like a lead material at all, especially in a show like Udaan. People would have accepted the leap if they hadn't pissed off half the fan base by killing Suraj and the other half by separating Raghkor and destroying everything Udaan and Chakor stood for. Now there's no hope at all. I am not sure if the TRP audience would like this leap either. No idea what the makers are planning to do as damage control.

Totally agree about his screen presence. He is totally not compatible with Tanya. He looks like her younger brother. And he is playing exactly similar type of role as in his last show that he was kicked out from. Love sick puppy
