Lol, the ignorance of some people. Deol's & Mediocre. Two of the biggest superstars this country has ever seen. All time records, national awards. Achieved everything there is to achieve.

But I agree with 2RsFan, Sunny would rather do B grade films as a lead rather than good A Grade films as a character actor. He's delusional.

deols have been mediocre..so was dharmendra..same like rajesh khana..all redefined mediocrity..

they were superstars with average acting at best

as for national awards..arjun rampal says hi!

The difference is as longevity.. Rajesh khana's stardom lasted max 5 years.. dharmandra dominated the 70s 80s even until mid 90s. His name was more than enough.. he gave more hits in the 80s than any other stars. How do you measure stardom? When an actor consistently give hit movies which both sunny and dharmandra did during their times.

Awards don't matters. It's the number of hits..

Hmm.. you have a point there.

The nepo kids stable has increased tenfold compared to 90's though-or they are getting bolder or demanding better debuts- .. and also they are more media-ready.. more 'polished' to 'look and act like stars'... given more 'star-vehicle' movies...PR teams and professionals to help them overcome any 'hiccups'..

Look at last few years debuts.. there's been a more..carefully laid-out plan to increase their visibility online.. more concerted effort to make them 'likable' and 'approachable' to the masses.

So I think this is a bigger and longer 'con' than before..

The use of Media in changing perceptions about their acting talent is also unprecedented.

You see now average actors from 'inner circle/nepo clans' being touted as 'great actors' through varied media portals.. so they are working hard to prove that these nepo kids do add value to movie industry.

Dunno what the solution would be. Maybe new PH employing directors and casting only through audiotions.. serious auditions.. and ensuring those getting roles on merit are promoted and given WELL WRITTEN roles ..so they have a chance to shine against the nepo circle??

I feel the nepo kids now are same person in different packaging. Like it's a carbon copy. Then they try to have this personality where they are so relatable when deep down I know I could never imagine living their life. lol
