Being a parent itself is difficult. Being a single parent is much harder. I am sure Karan loves his kids and gives them the best. But it bothers me when privileged people talk about the difficulty of raising children.

But you had Alia for years before the twins so experience was definitely there.

It's not like they have to worry about missed work when the child is home sick or finding a reasonably priced baby sitter when you have to work late or wondering whether daycare is worth the price or one of the parents has to give up a career to take care of kids till they're in school.

They call his mum 'mama' so he is not having to fulfil both roles that someone whose mother/father of the child is not there. They will think she is their mum and be so confused when they go to school and realise who she is and the absence, but I guess some maternal figure is better than none.
