Well, yes I do know that luck is one of the most important factor. But, there must be something too na.

😲 really? I didn't know that. I thought Nepotism was always rampant on Bollywood. Somebody will always be launching somebody's sons or daughters.

I don't agree though that they are really closing the pipelines on outside talents. Some of the biggest star on Bollywood of the current generation like PC, DP, RS, Anushka Sharma etc, doesn't have any relations with the films families.

What defines a commercial success? Is it a 100 Crores race? Because, I think he did pretty well in terms of commercial success in kai po che, shruddh desi romance, pk and kedarnath. Even though it's not really a big hit like that.

Not 100 Crores necessarily but blockbusters and superhits where the movie makes double than its budget depends upon the scale. The movies you mentioned are average success nothing to write home about. There is an actor and then there is a star who has this mass connect with the audience whose name is just enough to sell the movie (Varun, Ranveer, Tiger currently)and get the audience flocking to the theatres. Many guys are from TV but how many of them are SRK? I'm talking that level of superstardom. But that doesn't mean I'm writing Sushant off or discrediting him in any way but he has a long way to go.
