If you don't want to attend the party: show your face for 10 minutes, talk to some guest, then silently sneak out to your room or find a secluded area of the house take a drink, a book or earbuds enjoy with good music. don't stand there like a body guard with grummy I don't want to be there attitude and i am forced. It so annoying
