What are you talking about?! Though zero did not do well SRK was praised for his acting in it. Most of the people complained about story n screenplay and few disliked Anushka's portrayal. But no one said he did not do well. Even in his other films which did not do well he was appreciated for his skills.. Maybe JHMS was one outing of his where he did not get unanimous praise but zero, fan, raees they all had different problems but him being bad in them was definitely not one of those.

There is the actor and there are his movies...not the same, Shaitan.

Relative to the actor, the thread-title is wrong. Relative to his movies, we already had/have a thread about this subject.

That's not true. Even if his latest movies were not huge success, he was always appreciated for his performances. IMO, there are three things which are the most important for movies.

1) Actors' performance getting love 2) box office collection 3) Movie as a whole getting love.
Not sure if I forgot any other to put.

So as an Actor SRK was praised. Box office collections are important too for the team mostly and actor, but I wouldn't want dhoom3 scenario with SRK or any actor I like. Dhoom3 was BB but none liked Aamir's performance or the movie much. It was failure in that. I waited so long for dhoom3 expecting a good movie but it was a disaster. Started disliking Aamir since then. Used to be a big fan of him before that and would wait for his movies. Box office collection is not everything for me. I would rather take Lootera, Zero, etc for my favs than Dhoom3 and the likes. Of course, having Bangrangi, Queen, etc are the best scenarios where movies were successful box office wise and loved by audience too. But after that, it's better to have flop but where you were loved than to have a forgetful hit/BB which wasn't loved except by very few in rare cases.
