Kangana, insisted Jisshu, has always been "very nice to him on the professional front. However, that has still not given him an option to stay away from taking sides in the raging debate over the directorial ownership of the film. "I will go by the version offered by Krish (director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi) and what he has said. He had completed the film and I had dubbed for it. He then told me that there are six-seven days of shoot and hopefully, I wouldn't be needed. The next thing I know is that there is a lot of reshoot happening, he claimed.
Back then, Jisshu was shooting for the NTR biopic with Krish. "That's when I got to know he's not shooting those portions and Kangana is shooting them. When I went for Manikarnika's reshoot, I learnt

wasn't doing it anymore. So, we had to reshoot the entire sequence that was earlier shot with Sonu, he added. On being asked who should get the director's credit, he said, "For me, Krish directed the entire film. What Kangana directed were some scenes that were directed by Krish, which, after Sonu left, had to be reshot. That apart, she also shot some new scenes with herself as well as with me. If I were to say Krish and Kangana directed the movie, 80% of the credit has to go to Krish. But if I have to take one name, it will be Krish. His vision was about a film that not just spoke about one woman's courage but also featured many other characters.
