How is a bad actress like her getting so much work?
I had not seen her as Akshara so I was really excited about the new Komolika after seeing her intro promo but what an epic fail she turned out to be

Every day we see talentless kids of famous people get a chance in Bollywood. Some of them fizzle out, some continue to remain popular though they cannot act to save their life, some of them find their calling in something else and have the humility to admit they were terrible actors (like twinkle khanna), some become better actors with each movie. Only a tiny minority have genuine talent to start out with. The nepotistic nature of Bollywood irritates me more and more everyday and I think - why not Hina! Yes she cannot act but most of them can't. Let someone from a non-Bollywood background make their way up even without acting talent.

Also I really just want the Komolika angle to fail!

As a person who respects money , I just have one thing to say .
Pls don't compare non existent things to 2 rs.
As soon as she is out of her comfort zone , this happens

The only thing that I have to say about this much raging topic of nepotism is that at the end of the day only those survive who have talent .
As much as I love Kangana , the thing is that she has used this bechari status of hers to always stay in the limelight .
She has done certain stuff which if a star child would have done , they would have been literally ruined by social media and media in general .
At the present moment , I can't really think of any star child ( well expect Janhvi Kapoor , but she is just a movie old ) who doesn't deserve to be here.
This is such a ridiculous notion which stems out of pure unriddled logic , you aren't to blame for being born into a family of high connections .
You are lucky , big deal .
You aren't , well sorry you need to work to get there .
Shah rukh Khan , Amitabh Bachman , Aamir Khan and a lot are a testimony to this .
Deepika Padukone , Kangana too aren't industries children
Ranbir Kapoor , Varun Dhawan , Salman Khan are all star kids in their own way , and well they are thriving.
For me , Ranbir Kapoor is the best current age actor and he is a star kid , so ?
Does it take away from his worth ?

Also, I am sorry but Hina just can't compare to them .
However , irrespective of everything , I appreciate her hardwork and her extreme talent at promoting herself . I have never ever seen someone post Instagram stories of their photos taken by journalists or the fact that they are trending

I don't know know much about what Kangana's done but will google after your impassioned post. What I will say is that she doesn't have to be right for the nepotism to be wrong. It's not an either/or proposition. The fact that you defend their "luck and accept that life doesn't have to offer everyone a level playing field is I guess the reason why so many of these star kids thrive, as you put it. I for one could name a long list of actors and actresses, that Erica and Parth could wipe the floor with.

That's the thing if you are good you will get your shot .
Sushant Singh Rajput is an example of that .
Of course luck plays a major role , some gets their shot and some don't .
But do we have to crib about it ?
Rather than wasting our energy thinking how we didn't get an even play field , we can channelise this energy towards something bigger and better ?
I know it's unfair and what not , if anything I have learnt in life till now , is that life is unlucky , you might not be the son or daughter of the biggest person but that doesn't mean the end of the world .
I am in no means trying to defend their luck , maybe it came across as wrong .
The thing I am trying to say is at the end of the day , we can't change what we have come into this world with but we can change what we leave the world with .
Why shall we complain about what others have and some don't ?
You and many of us recognise their talent , and they will get their dues .
Hardwork pays off and my only point was that just because some actors work doesn't mean , xyz too will.
Nothing else .
And why the actors thrive ? If I have to say why , the only reason I can say is that they strike a chord with their audience who wants to watch their movies inspite knowing some can't .
But generalising the entire star kids under this bracket isn't right .
Yes being a star kid , you get more chances and an underserved often break , but that doesn't mean you will able to make your own place .
The current audience knows which movie is worth it and which one is not .
Like you said "nepotism irriates you, the thing is nothing can be done about it . As sad as it is . It's a fact .
Yes , it's kind of irritating when I see a bobby Deol film , but rather than getting irritated about it because at the end , let's face the truth , nothing can happen about it , I can focus on other things .
You are write in your point , but the only way I reacted the way I did , is to point out that I felt , that rather grouping all star kids as lucky , those who deserve praise should get their dues . But , even though they get it , they always have the sword of nepotism , hanging over their head
