I think he is simply a positive person that enjoys dancing.
And yes he was strstruck at the beginning.. it's clear to see, lol.
As he's gotten to spend more time amongst his heroes and he interacted with them more.. became more confident in his capabilities he .. relaxed a bit.
He actually says in an interview how at the beginning was trying to 'fir a mould' and please everyone - looks etc
And how one day - around Lootera/Gunday/Ram leela time.. he decided he will wear what he wants and dance and not care of 'looks' and be his sunny self.. the rest of the world be damned !😆
His confidence in himself grew and it's nice to see him wearing whatever he pleases to these events ( although I feel Deepika is having a hand in certain attires... and also..he's more OTT when she isn't around.. so she'd good at keeping him in check, lol).
