For 'Pink' actress Taapsee Pannu, the year 2019 has not started on the brightest of note. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actress was in for a shock when she learnt earlier this week that she has been dropped from the remake of Pati, Patni aur Woh last minute and without any intimation. The actress, who is obviously upset with how the whole situation, has panned out, said, "I was at the narration in November. I liked the script and gave it the go-ahead. I was asked to clear my schedule and I complied. Only the clauses remained to be negotiated, but they (makers of the film) vanished."
The actress, who had four major films last year and proved her acting mettle with a different role in each film, said there was no peculiar reason for dropping her name last minute. She also complained that her other work plans have now gone for a toss as she was keen on being part of the remake. "I assumed I was the first choice since the director narrated the script to me first. I deserve an answer. This is disheartening," said Taapsee.
The remake of Pati, Patni aur Woh goes on floors next month and is directed by Mudassar Aziz. The actress revealed, "Poor Mudassar also hasn't been given a reason for it. He was just asked to take someone else. I haven't been given a proper reason either."
Taapsee clarified that the remuneration part was not even the problem as her fees was not discussed as yet. She added that this whole experience has been an eye opener and she hopes no other actor has to go through such an ordeal. "I am going to be careful about signing films before celebrating a good script. This has been an eye-opener.
