My family is all elated when today I finally agreed to meet the guy they choose for me, the darling daughter of Sharma's. Being the younger one to three big brothers ...correction the three overprotective and over affectionate big brothers. They can literally bring the moon down to my feet if I ask them to. I'm the doting daughter and a baby to them all my life. I'm turning 26 this year and yet not married as the judgemental society we live in is huge thing to deal with but they didn't give it a damn when it comes to my happiness. From past one year every relatives of mine I don't even know their name is to keep asking about my impending marriage plans in every other social gatherings.
And last month my best friend too got married and seeing the souring face of my father I finally give up for the 'meeting the guy event'', but they did not know what I have hidden in stores for them or for him.
Finally the day has come, the suppose to be has graced his appearance in my house with ofcourse his parent .His name is some Shaurya...Shaurya Khanna and to my utter annoyance Sonal my best friend is already shipping my name with his name ...Mehak and Shaurya makes the MehRya and teasing me to no end.
I was already tensed and moreover her teasing annoy me more so I hang up her phone hurriedly. All they want to tie me up with that guy.
But I have a plan,with a evil smirk I continue with my touchup, well I'm very makeup friendly.but it's just the kajal and gloss for me today. what if he find me beautiful with makeup? She thought with horror.
They arrived in the evening time. and being the obedient girl I folded my hands and touched their feet to greet groom's father and mother ,but before i can touch their feet they take me into their hugs. Mrs.Karuna Khanna ,she was the most sweetest lady I ever met and I immediately have a deep connection with her, her motherly touch really remembered me the loving memories of my deceased mother, whom I lost when I was an year old.
Then my sight returned to him, my supposed arrange marriage wala groom...he is handsome indeed but I don't want a handsome guy I need someone who's funny, loving and caring.
I went inside to help the maids to came with the drinks and snacks. I offered the drinks to the guests and my father and finally to him.
' What would you like to have, tea or coffee?''
'You don't like coffee, so I will prefer tea, Masala one through'' He replied back.
'How do you know that I don't like coffee?''-Mehak asked him.
'I just guess anyways I like to have tea'', he said casually.
She need privacy to talk to him and incorporate the plan. she was thinking the way but he himself asked for a separate meeting to her relieve and his family quickly agreed .Mehak wondered what is with her family that they are being extra sweet to him. She have different things in mind so she quickly leave followed by Shaurya.
' Say no for the wedding. Okay.' an overexcited Mehak told him as she soon as they sat on the fancy chairs over the garden area.
"Whattt? "A bewildered Shaurya asked.
''Sorry, I didn't get you''?-he asked her again in case he heard it all wrong.
I said," say no for marriage'', she repeat herself.
'Why''? came his reply.
'Becoz I don't want to marry you! ' she said feeling annoyed.
So?? Shaurya shrugged his shoulder and Mehak is giving him a look like are you dumb?
"I mean if you want to say no, then you cancel the marriage why are you putting me before our parents", Shaurya asked her for her strange behaviour.
Mehak thought it would be very easy and smooth but it is certainly not and he got into her nerves now. so, she need to incorporate the plan B.
'I have boyfriends...'',she said blankly.
'Boyfriends ?'' -Shaurya asked her while spitting the tea a little.
'Yess...yes...i have 3..no no 4 boyfriends.'' she told him with a little uneasiness in her eyes.
Those eyes are so expressive that anyone can say she is lying.
Shaurya knows she is lying but he decided to play along. He want to know why is she lying.
'Really ? so do you date them all at the same time?''-he asked with a raised brow.
'What? how that can even be possible?''-Mehak asked shocked.
Maybe it can be possible but it sounds horrible to her. She never have the crush thing for some guy then having a boyfriend is far away kind of thing for her.
'Exactly my point is??'' Shaurya point it out for her.
Ummm...umm...Mehak caught red handed so she changed the topic.
'See, I'm not a good girl you know. Now say no for marriage.'',Mehak said folding her hands over her chest.
'Coz you have boyfriend or you dated them all at same time??''-Shaurya asked innocently.
Ahh...this man is getting more on her nerves now.
'Yes, for both the reasons.''-she said with gritted teeth.
'You know it's not good thing and it makes you no so goody girl then why are you doing such thing?''-being the innocent to be groom Shaurya asked her again.
'Coz I'm bad and you won't like me so just say no for marriage ! simple.'', Mehak says with the finality.
'I don't think it's big enough reason to say no to a girl. Nowadays every other girl is having a boyfriend and its quite cool, I will wonder if you say you don't have any. then maybe I have a reason to refuse. but I found you cool.'', Shaurya told her in a straight no nonsense tone.
'What??'',Mehak was shocked. why is this happening with her?
' I can't cook'', she lied to the guy. Cooking is her passion, she can even give 5 stars cooks a run for their money but she thought it will help her ,because she thought that it is important to know cooking in an arranged marriage so he will definitely refuse to marry her. but his reply pleasantly shocked her.
'Don't worry, I know how to cook'', he replied.
Shaurya is testing her patience, but she need to compose herself.
Mehak know Mr. Khanna is very famous business man, he loves his workaholic nature and very dedicated, and special mention he hate late night page 3 parties, these few things she noted about him before the meet as it is very evident in his every interview. so she decided to tell him about her next quality very carefully.
'You know, I love parties, especially late night parties. kabhi kabhi toh kuch jyaga bhi ho jata hai you know shots ?'', she winked and hoped this trick will work.
Judging her expression for A fraction of seconds he replied with the ever calm voice with a grint of teasing 'Wow, then it would be very contrasting between us and that will definitely spice up humari marriage life. what's say''?
'What?'' Mehak was feel like crying, contrasting personalities to spice up their marriage life? like really?? is he crazy??
She closed her eyes to compose herself. Shaurya was chuckling inwardly seeing her weirdly cute expressions. He is already liking this cuteness.
'You know I'm not normal rather I'm crazy and very difficult to handle ,you should marry someone calm and composed like you are''. she asked him with great hope but his answer broke the last ray of hopes.
'I don't like normal people, come on there is no entertainment left in normalcy , I really want a chirpy crazy girl that you seems very closer to, so that's not a problem. anything else??''.
Mehak was so mad now that she said-'Actually no, now I so want you to marry me and then I let you know how great a wife I can be.''
'Wow, so shall we go ahead ??'', Shaurya asked her meekily just to infuriate her more.
'Yes, we should. 'Mehak told him with greeted teeth and glaring eyes.
Shaurya was in two mind from the time they came in the garden to let her know or not but then Half an hour of contemplation later, as they got up to leave, he looked at her and finally said, You Look Really Beautiful''.
Mehak don't know what to say to that compliment. Shaurya liked her with her real self, his personality, his aura really affect her and lastly with a courage she asked him-
'What if you find a better girl than me? you will regret then?''-she questioned.
He took few seconds before replyi ng her and finally said-'No I won't, not now, not ever. and if I get a better girl Then I'll pick her up... kissed her chubby cheeks and lovingly told her, princess your daddy loves you more than your momma do''.He replied with a genuine smile. and saying this He leave with a stunned Mehak behind.
That's the most cheesy but the most romantic line one could ever tell to his Future wife on their first meet.

It was their wedding night and a whole round of teasing and leg pulling sessions later the newlyweds are allowed to left alone, Shaurya stayed back for a while to check on his parent and here Mehak was getting hell worried in the room. Mehak knows Shaurya will not force her and try to calm herself a little.
but Shaurya gave her completely different vibes. Mehak was trying to put off her veil and heavy jewelleries when Shaurya hugged her from behind and gently caressing her hands.
'Shauryaa...yeh aap kya kar rhe hain'', Mehak asked him with a nervous tone.
Shaurya mentally chuckle seeing her all nervous...she is definitely not the nervous types.
'Mehak don't you know?", He asks with raised brows.
"Shaurya, don't you think you should know each other better and then take our relationship to the next level."
"Kyun, I want to make love to my wife tonight...I'm your husband.i have all the right over you...officially shaadi ki hai,itna toh haq banta hai."
Mehak felt like crying and seeing her all sad Shaurya turned her, 'Pagal ladki, wife ho tum meri, I will never misbehave with the dignity of a women especially you...my wife. So stop crying, I was just teasing you...I'm sorry".
Shaurya wipe her tears and Mehak was smiled a little seeing the respect and adoration of her husband for women.
Meanwhile Shaurya get a call and he left the room to attend the call. Mehak was almost done with her jewelleries when Shaurya voice startled her and she turned back...
