I agree with you. It seems like that sumi in the beginning and the current sumi are two different persons. I don't think it is possible to keep that kind of ruse for 30 years.

It must be a recent development that they want to make the purple naagin as sumi.

It's just sad to see those concerns that sumi had for mahir and Bella in the beginning are just fake concerns. I used to think that she is the best mother on television. Whose life and world revolve around her children. 😭

Unfortunately all MILs have to turn out to be evil. Another soap like element in what is supposed to be a finite drama season.

At least Bela had a mother (and sister) who loved her. Mahir? No. his fake mother wants him dead despite having raised him almost his entire life, and Andy does not strike me as an affectionate father. Out of his siblings, only the whiny Kuhu and mostly absent Pratham seem to care for him. Now it turns out his (half-)brother Yuvi never cared for him. And, of course, there was also his now dead half brother Adi who was indifferent to his being alive or dead just because they have different mothers. Disgusting.

No, actually Adi is still very much alive. The one that was killed was RJ who was Mahir's brother in law and Kuhu's husband.

A lot of people especially in India are more than okay to have a relationship with their cousins. However, when it comes to half siblings they are more reluctant even some times to the extent of hating the idea of having a relationship with half siblings.
