Shan's character in the show is quite interesting and at same time quite complicated character but it is not difficult to understand where he is coming from...
When Asmita says yes to marry Hridoy , it is Shan only who is against this marriage.. even though it was his brother's love.. he knew that puchki won't be accepted in the Majumdar house..so if that could have stopped by puchki in starting blossoming days it would not have given Hridoy any hopes.. During course of time he sees how serious Hridoy is in this relationship..there he announces his own marriage with paromita.. it cud be coz of Hridoy or cud be making puchki jealous and realise her feelings and backing off from the marriage with Hridoy.. in all this process the guy fell in love.. the moment he realises his love and daydreams of consequences..he still goes ahead and wants to confess his feelings to his puchki who is now his brother's fiance.. 😆okay a bit complex Shan but given to the situation.. he was thinking one dimensional in that moment...he fell for his friend and he wanted to confess before bigger picture came into his mind... He stops n controls himself ..only to get drunk and confess to girl the next day.. You have to give credit to actor to showcase that conflict so well.. and writers to bring out confession amidst a jalebi 😛of relationships involved here..now Mr Majumdar wakes up and realize his folly only to end up kissing the girl in forest in rain😆.. Ab pyaar hain toh Hain . Kya kar sakte hain iska.. now since he own up responsibility of coming in between his brother and supposedly his love... The guy tries to redeem.. gets the marriage dates fixed soon and provokes his own love to confess to his brother.. this he did to do damage control he had already done..it seems .but at this moment he thought only about his Brother ..not his friend ..
In my view Shan thought of puchki not Hridoy initially and thus was reluctant for that relationship till he got aware of his own feelings towards her..then also guy didn't think of anyone but to confess to lady he loved..till he realised the mess he is creating... And once he did and I believe that Nivedita's warning to Shan made him do whatever he is doing now... He is just cleaning up mess as per him..again this time keeping someone else above him for that matter...and that is Hridoy..
What do you guys have to say about this complex Shan..in a way it's really interesting as you can keep guessing what he is gonna do next..😳
