Why current actresses are obssessed with size zero figure?

Why are actresses really obsessed with getting skinnier like do they think that they will look hot if they are size zero? Are we living in 70s? No one nowadays like skinny girls and especially if you are an actress. Alia, Jhanvi, Sara all want to look thin rather than having good figure

I believe it's quite the opposite. People wouldn't care about a thin figure in the earlier days as seen by a lot of actress. I guess it's not just the film industry but even normal/ordinary people have become self/body conscious these days. Although beauty is subjective, by and large people have come to understand that, thin = pretty 😕

Its not the actresses but the audience who are obsessed with size zero figure. Actresses with zero figure are the ones that appeal to the audience like actors with abs. I hope the day comes when an actress doesn't have to go through plastic surgery cause her nose is imperfect and an actress doesn't have to lose weight in the fear of being judged by her size rather than her acting skills.

The movie industry is known for it's image bashing and body-shaming cruelty. The minute an actress bulges an inch from anywhere, she's deemed as ugly or unfit. So much so that they even loose out on certain projects and roles if they don't look a certain way or have a perfect figure, to be precise.

However many said goodbye to size zero and curvy actresses took charge in bollywood in the past. The size-zero, once a fad in filmdom is no more in vogue and even considered as anorexic. Some, by the sheer craft of their acting managed to rule the roost.

IMO size-zero is quite unhealthy. It's not at all a good idea to have the imbalance in one's diet. Lack of balanced diet will do serious harm to ones health.
