There are few movies which invoke such strange feelings of insecurity that it feels difficult to venture out after watching them, Dushman is one such movie, I was quite young when I watched it and I can't dispel that sense of uneasiness whenever I remember it. Ashutosh Rana was creepy as hell.

Silence of the lambs. Never help anyone on a dark lonely road and never open the door for strangers when alone at home. Even for delivery ppl.

Dushman definitely stayed with me for years. Just not Asutosh Rana's bone chilling performance but the fact that there were twin sisters and the void that was left behind made me very uncomfortable. Even with the revenge at last my nerves didnt settle. It seemed hopeless. I have a very deep connection with my siblings and it hit home in more ways than one. Kajol was so fantastic in the movie. I've never had the gall to watch it again.

I'd say another one would be NH10. I'm still so bothered when I drive on highways. Always on alert. And especially taking a turn at places with small shops around where people just know you are not from here and you are completely alone. I see another woman on the street and there's some respite.

The Mummy made me want my mummy.
Was 3 or 4 then and scarabs 😔..wriggling under people's skin...I made my ayah check under my bed for them at night before sleeping for a long while.

After a month of this my dad told me he had killed them all using hit spray🤣. I believed him.

NH10 was spine chilling for me. Anushka was amazing in it..I still feel uneasy when I remember some of the scenes of that movie.

Also Ek Haseena Thi and Ugly...the latter was unsettling.

A Hollywood movie called The Lovely Bones was pretty creepy too.

The Shining. The way Shelley Duvall acts in the Here's Johnny scene, I used to get scared of people having protruding teeth.😆

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The crawling through the cockroaches and Amrish Puri doing the human sacrifices.
