Is Disha Patani lost because of nepotism?

Disha Patani has no godfather in Bollywood, she is not a star kid. Basically, she is not a nepotism product, but she has left everyone talking with her presence. Disha Patani is just a few films old, but she has already won billions of hearts.

After Deepika, no-one has this popularity amongst the youth. She has a massive Instagram following, and though she's not the best in acting, she has a very good presence on-screen.

In the midst of star kids like Jhanvi, Sara, Alia and the likes, is Disha Patani losing out? Now another batch of star kids like Ananya Pandey etc. ar being launched by Karan.

Can Disha claim the top spot??

After Ms dhoni and that cadbury ad disha became a internet sensation. She was disappointing in Baaghi. She lacks that spark.

Now she is just reduced to garibon ki shraddha kapoor.

I think Baaghi didn't gove her a chance to explore her potential. She was just reduced to a cameo.

What she needs is a director who is willing to invest in her and give her a project where she can flex her acting chops, if any.

There should be something in your personality that might attract industry people. Disha lacks that so producers and actors don't recommend her.

lets not blame everything on nepotism.

she's pretty & all but extremely boring & bland

let alone acting skills

in bollywood, you atleast need to have some screen presence

she doesn't even have that tbh

Quite the contrary I guess..

She is one of the outsiders who has gained the most from nepotism (read her connection with Tiger Shroff)

She is almost on every magazine cover. I agree that she is gorgeous and has a fantastic figure, hence the opportunity. She is endorsing a number of brands, walking on ramps as showstoppers for the similar reason. Or probably because of her association with Tiger, who knows.

But then without doing any significant work ( I'm talking about pre-Baaghi days), she gets to sit in the front row at Filmfare Awards, gets easy access to Bollywood inner circles and remains in limelight 24x7.

Producers and directors invest in people who they think can give them return on their investments. IMO she glaringly lacks in the acting department. She is a great dancer but her popularity among people in the social media is primarily due to her bikini pictures, which doesn' t automatically translate into popularity due to acting chops. Neither she has that spark, nor is she a good speaker and neither has an interesting personality.

She is more focused on getting physical enhancements rather than polishing her acting skills. And wanting to work just with A-listers, without actually having proved the mettle has limited her growth as an actor even more.

So, let's not blame everything on nepotism, at least not in her case.

nepotism ko chodho, to become an actress u need good acting skills, screen presence ans spark in personality.. teeno mein se ek bhi najar nahi aaya mujhe Disha mein
