Zoya entered their room. It was after one year she was coming there. A year back she entered this room as Adi's bride after a traditional marriage. That day she was wearing her bridal attire and jewellery.
Today she was wearing a simple saree. She was shocked to know Aditya had never signed the divorce papers. In the whole one year she had believed her marriage with him was over as he never called her. But those papers which Kunal showed had broken her. She was always his wife. Though he apologized to her for leaving her, he had never really left her.
She looked at the walls. He had kept back their marriage pictures. She smiled as she gently touched them and then she moved in front of the mirror and stood there. She looked at her forehead which was adorned with sindoor after a year and her neck had her prized possession. Her mangalsutra. She gently touched it as she remembered their simple temple wedding.
They were in Ganesh Mandir. After the apology in hospital things had happened in a frenzy. Anjana's arrest had opened a Pandora's box. For couple of weeks they were running behind that. Meanwhile Zoya had spoken to Roshnaq who was happy to hear that her daughter had cleared the misunderstanding with her husband. She had flown to Mumbai to support Aditya. Once Arjun was back and things got settled Roshnaq had asked Zoya to move back to Aditya's place and start her life on a positive note.
Aditya had wanted to restart their journey in front of God. Hence now they were standing in Ganesh Mandir.
After praying to lord she looked at him as he gently took the sindoor from the plate. Tears were flowing from both their eyes as he filled her partition. She knew she was complete only in his love. Only when he had filled her maang with sindoor. In all her anger she was truly incomplete without him.
Aditya took the mangalsutra from her hand and with emotions choking tied it around her neck once again in present of Ganesha. Once again they prayed.
Zoya came back to the present as she saw her husband's reflection in the mirror staring at her. She smiled.
Aditya looked at his wife. If the divorce papers were a shock to Zoya, Aditya was broken to see that she had treasured the mangalsutra he put on her. She had always tied it along with her bracelets, hidden from the world, but had always carried him in her heart. When he had seen that chain first time, the only thing he had wanted was to run to her and apologize. For asking her proof of her purity. She had promised him only he will be in her heart and only he was in her heart.
He should have never allowed Rajvir to win that day with his insecurities. But he knew there was no point thinking about that. That time wont come back, now he has to make use the second chance that has come to him.
He gently hugged her from behind. But for Zoya that was enough to break down as she kept her head on his chest and started rambling the torture of the night she shared with Rajvir. Tears started flowing from Aditya's eyes as he heard her recount how Rajvir had terrorized her, handcuffed her to the bed.
He hugged her tightly, intimately. This was what he was supposed to do her that night. Make her feel special, make her feel wanted. But what did he do. He questioned her. How could he even think Zoya would have willingly shared herself to Rajvir the way she shares with him. How could he even think that Zoya would be happy in Rajvir's touch just because she gave consent to to spend a night with him.
She was forced to undergo the terror for him, for his mistake. He scooped her up in his arms and gently placed her on the bed. Zoya looked up and all she could see was love in her husband's eyes for her. Aditya bend down kissing her forehead, her eyes and Zoya hugged him back, pulling him closer to her. She had wanted him, she had wanted to feel his love. Aditya kissed her nose, her cheeks. Then he looked up and in her eyes he saw the same burning desire he was feeling.
They had waited for long and today he didnt want anything to come between them. He wanted to erase their past completely for a new beginning as he gently took her lips. Zoya reciprocated kissing him back. As the kiss moved from soft peck to passionate, their hands ran through each other bodies. They were burning and they needed each other to calm them.
As if the nature knew their minds a gentle breeze flow through the window, followed by a rain. They had met for the first time on a rainy night. And that day when the unexpected rain was falling on Mumbai they were getting drenched in each other's love.
Zoya was feeling her every pain and her inner shame getting washed away as her husband loved her passionately in a way the night with Rajvir had never happened even in her dreams. Aditya was feeling content as he could feel his wife relax in his arms, finding peace in his love.
Th rain has stopped, so was the tears, and pain in them as they lay peacefully in each other's arms drifting slowly to sleep in deep embrace.
