Today's episode started with Ishaali at the lawyer's office. Kunal calls Mauli before the lawyer shows up and asks if Mishti knows anything. Mauli says of course not. Kunal tells her that kids don't always understand things and he himself still hasn't processed that Misthi is his daughter. He feels like embracing her but reassures Mauli that he'll keep his feelings at bay.
Then Ishaan speaks to the lawyer about adopting Mishti. Once they leave Mauli tells him there's no need for him to adopt her cause Kunal has promised he won't try to take Mishti away from her. Ishaan asks if she trusts Kunal and Mauli says 100%. 🤢 Ishaan says he respects her decisions.
While they are driving home Ishaan asks Mauli if she's sure she wants to marry him and Mauli says of course citing that she can't find a better partner and friend for herself and a better popsie for Mishti. Ishaan tells Mauli he loves her.
The next day the school is having a fair. Pari tries to speak with Mishti but Mishti isn't interested and even throws the cotton candy Pari offers her. Pari continues trying to talk to her but Mishti pushes her to the ground. That's when Mauli shows up, she makes sure that Pari is okay and leaves her with Kunal's maid to talk to Mishti. Kunal sees that Pari is injured and asks her what happened and Pari tells him that Mishti pushed her. He's sure it was an accident but Pari corrects him and says Mishti did so on purpose. Mauli brings Mishti back and apologizes to Pari and Kunal. Pari says it's okay. Kunal asks if Mishti is okay and Mauli says she's fine, just a little moody. Kunal tries to speak to Mishti but she isn't interested in speaking to him either so Kunal asks Mauli for permission to try and reason with Mishti. Mauli says it's okay I'll handle it and leaves. Kunal watches Mauli leave with a smile. Kunal's maid leaves for the day and Kunal and Pari decide to leave as well.
As Kunal and Pari are driving in the parking lot they see Mail struggling with her car. Kunal offers to check the car for her and sees that it'll need to be taken to the shop for repairs. He offers to drive Mishti and Mauli home but Mauli says it's okay we'll take a cab. Kunal says no cab will come to such an isolated location. Mishti tells him that her mom said they'll take a cab. Kunal says but there's a strike. Mauli tells mishti that Kunal uncle is right and that they should get a ride with him. Pari asks Mauli to sit in the passenger seat as she wants to sit in the back with Mishti.
While they're driving Pari tells Mauli that she's sorry their car broke down. Mauli complements Pari saying she is very polite and understanding. Kunal adds that Mishti is as well. Pari says that's why they're best friends. Afterwards Pari tells Kunal that Mishti is angry at her. Kunal tells Pari that Mishti has full right to be angry and fight with her just like the adults do. This incident reminds him of some memory he had with Mauli and is about to share it with her until he realizes the circumstances. Both were smiling until this point. Mishti sneezes and both mauli and Kunal reach for the Kleenex at the same time and their hands touch. Kunal takes his hand away and Mauli gives the Kleenex to Mishti.
As they reach Mauli's building, Ishaan also reaches there. He sees all four of them getting out of the car. Mauli thanks Kunal and bids both of them good bye and leaves with Mishti. Both Kunal and Ishaan watch Mauli and Mishti walk away/into the building with sad music playing in the background.
Precap: Mishti tells Mauli she never wants to see Kunals face. Mauli promises Mishti that they'll never talk to Kunal and Pari again. Meanwhile Pari finds a box in an armoire in their house and when she opens it she finds a pic of Mauli and Nandini together and realizes that they were best friends.
