I just realized this!
Yash signed the divorce papers with the intent to separate, to break ties. Zoya signed the divorce papers with the intent to save, to protect.
Pooja cheated on aditya out of selfish reasons. Zoya almost ended up spending the night with someone to save aditya (I absolutely disagree with it but the point of this post is not my personal opinion. The point of this post is a detached analysis)

So basically we have the past repeating itself but in a completely different way.
There are other parallels but not as important as these. So even though the channel must have manipulated the script, the CVs still retained a bit of their touch.
