In fact, Rohit is a brand. Chennai Express trailer listed all of his films in it.

Rohit is responsible for the success of these films far more than SRK or Ajay. Anand L Rai on the other hand, has never given big openings and TWMR is the only big hit in his catalogue

Of course, Ranveer's performance will make or break the movie post the weekend.

Rohit Shetty, I would go as far, as to say is the biggest brand name after Rajkumar Hirani and Karan Johar. Directors name can contribute a lot to the movie. So can actresses. We have this habit of attributing everything to lead hero, that doesn't necessarily make it true.

Ranveer, of course will make or break the movie. I think the situation is very similar to Ranbir and Sanju.

Re One was a crap which was rejected by the audience, while Bol Bachchan got good audience appreciation. So a crap of SRK earns more than a good film of Rohit Shetty? You can do the math.

Only Hirani is a brand among the directors at present. Kjo as a director was a brand once upon a time. Rohit Shetty was never that big as a name actually(No big Hits like Hirani or Kjo). I'm not attributing everything to the lead hero. Of course the director and actress play a part in the success of the film. But saying that Rohit Shetty has bigger role than SRK in CE success is stupid.
