I like KJo best when he talks about movies overall, the business, the trends, the good, the bad...his passion comes through and you can really see that he has a good grasp of what is going -- which is why he has been able to take Dharma to the heights he has been.

It's obvious BW is over-inspired by Baahubali's scale, but they're still not getting it right. Thugs being a prime example.

Bhardwaj's question of why BW with all its money is behind the South when it comes to technology, it's simply b/c BW invests in technology at the expense of everything else. A smart filmmaker ensure story is above all and technology heightens the experience.

And love stories, yeah maybe they are more digital films now (given Netflix's recent success with them) but let's be honest, what was the last good love story BW made? It was probably some 10 years ago. I don't think they're dead or should be dead.

How KJO becomes likable when he gets into serious talk of films and business in direct contrast to his gossip chat show.

KJO knows/understands 'movies' well though he isn't one of B/W's best filmmakers IMO. He has a good grasp and knowledge of the movie scripts and has great acumen towards judging the potential of a film.

Bollywood is certainly inspired by Bahubali's mammoth success. The primary reason is the film's huge emotional connect with the pan-india audience apart from being a visual spectacle and a fantasy adventure. If a film fails at the story and script level then the technology and grandeur will not offer a good viewing experience because loads of H/W flicks serve as far better options. Recent TOH was the best example.
