A few months when NK was about to go off air during SP revamp, zain said: "Today NK is going off air, tomorrow it may be another show as channel is planning a revamp, so even IB could go off air." Now zain did not confirm that Ib is going off air, he only said that other shows on the channel including IB were at a risk of being axed by the channel, but Ib fandom being quick to jump on things accused him of falsely confirming off air rumours of IB when he didn't even confirm, he only said "Ho sakta hai" as in possibly and said other shows too, not just IB. Fools!
IB fandom bashed him and mocked him for this. Gul Khan at the time said about zain: "Please ask the actor to worry about his next show instead of thinking what will happen in IB next!" And IB fandom applauded her and acted like Gul was queen or something that time.
On the other hand NK fandom wondered why NK was being taken off air and not IB when there was barely any difference between NK trp and IB as well as trp of a few other SP shows (1.5 -1.7 trp range), and we got to know that NK going off air was mutual creative decision between PH and SP, but we still wondered why not IB? We have finally got the answer this week, and it is right out of the horses' mouth, as in from Gul Khan herself as to why IB survived despite same ratings as NK.
That is because this week news of IB taking a leap without the lead actress happening has been confirmed, and that too because of low trps as confirmed by Gul.
But the interesting thing about all this is what Gul says about IB needing to take a leap that proved not only what zain said to be true but also answered why IB survived the axe????
Gul: "SP has been so considerate towards us. They have given us many chances. The show isn't able to fetch BARC or online ratings. 😆 👏
So there we go guys. Months later zain was proven to be right that even ishqbaaz on innumerable times was under the scanner and could have gone off air at the same time when revamp started, but is still surviving just because of SP having mercy on Gul. So IB FD can't deny now that zain was right to say that even ishqbaaz is at risk of possibly going off air a few months back, because Gul herself admitted that IB was at risk quite a few times before due to insufficient ratings in the channel's eyes yet the channel still saved the show's ass and gave it more chances. Funny! 🤣
