6 years later, she finds out that Nandini is no longer alive. I've seen all sorts of comments and where I understand that not everyone has the same empathic level as we are all different, we also need to try to fathom that a death of a loved one, even if they at some point betrayed you still hurts! Mauli knew and loved Nandini for most of her life, she meant everything to her. After that betrayal, she was beyond hurt and said things to Nandini which we all would...but what now? She's dead. How does she express anger to a dead person? It's not something she ever wished even if she hated her! Even that I don't think Mauli could completely do because that was her attachment with her best friend.
Death can shake up anyone, it can make families reconcile, it can bury hatchets because we all know that's where we will all end up (grim I know).
What Mauli felt today were HUMAN emotions and emotions are never black and white! Mauli apologised because she didn't want to feel that her curses had such a bad affect. Of course it's superstition but somewhere that guilt stays.
