Why isnt Bollywood making any thrillers

This is a genre that is not much utilized in Bollywood. There are so many who done it thrillers that can be explored.

why aren't these big stars taking up such roles .

I recently saw the Tamil flick Ratchasan ( Demon) . it was such an edge of the seat thriller and so well taken.

I wonder why Bollywood did not venture much into this genre.

Especially " who done it " mysteries .

I recently watched Andhaadun, one of the best thrillers I have ever seen, Bollywood or not!

such sharp writing, I was on the edge of my seat throughout!

Drishyam was a thriller as well.

Kaun by urmilla and a few ekta kapooK movies with Anita hasnandi are good thriller example.

Andhadhun is literally one movie. What else has Bollywood made in this genre recently? I can't think of anything. When it comes to making movies in different genres Bollywood is horrible!

Andhadhun, Drishyam, Talvar, Kahani, Talash, Ittefaq are some good thrillers from BW. But I agree, there aren't as many whodunnits as there should have been.

Because thriller requires good script to be successful but rather than investing on script, bollywood would rather invest on signing stars at huge prices, rehashing old songs or including item songs in their movie.
