You are right about the body thing, technically all that's left after their death is their wandering soul, but who knows? Maybe souls can take on the form of their previous body? And then there's the fact that Dulhann is a family show, not a horror so we wouldn't want any more crazy fan incidents considering the effect that SV's deaths have had on some people...wandering souls doesnt have any body, they are in form of air...they can pass thru walls or go any where, once died the person doesnt get the same body cos it is buried or cremated. Technically as u said they are absolutely wrong.Even if it is a family show they can in a better way..and by showing a ghost it wont become a horror serial.๐Ÿ˜Š

But if we look past the fact that the bodies could be shown just to keep from gory details, then it really is incorrect.

Maybe it depends on the person seeing the ghost as well? I mean yes Vidya died in a green saree and Divya saw her to be wearing a white one, but didn't Sindoora also see Vidya's ghost wearing the same green saree she had worn when S murdered V? That could have to do with the fact that S herself is the murderer which is why it haunts her in such a way, and Divya would see the ghost as the stereotypical white clothed ghost.

In the end, it comes down to the fact that Divya was dreaming, when she's gonna dream of a ghost she'll most likely see it as all ghosts are believed to be like... that is, wearing white clothes. In dreams they can show anything even we can see wierd kind of dreams sometimes..sindoora saw them in same dresses cos tht was the time she killed them, so she is haunted by that crime...my point is tht these serial makers and even in moviesthey always shows ghosts in white..they have made the uniform for ghosts..๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†Die in red saree and come in white as a ghost..๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

But then that still fails to explain why everyone just generally sees white-clothed ghosts. Guess someone thought it up and Media made it a label for all ghosts in the future to walk in white๐Ÿ˜•rajji the discussion is getting interesting..safed hi kyoon?..kyun ki Nirma washing powder se kapde dhoti thi vidya..๐Ÿ˜†

๐Ÿ˜†sorry for the pointless rambling.... and its all just over white ghost clothes... hello rajji ur not rambling, but u hv made this topic lively..๐Ÿ˜† You know i think white color is of purity and they try to show tht ghosts are harmless but thn again there are some like in Exorcist, Evil dead, kind of ghosts,.๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†so they shud be shown in black..since black is color of Ignorance and Darkness.๐Ÿ˜†

Lol. Well one thing's for sure, Vidya is pure so it would be off to have her as a black clothed ghost. That would be Sindura ( who would probably be too lazy of a ghost to wash white sarees anyways๐Ÿ˜†).

That me brings me to your point that the white color of purity tries to show that the ghosts are harmless. That would definitely work in the case of SV, they're good ghosts๐Ÿ˜Š But if Sindura were to die (hopefully we will have that glorious day sometime soon) then it would be incorrectly shown if she's wearing white.

Safed hi kyon, safed hi kyon????.... I agree with you, it all comes down to purity. Dark colors are a symbol of darkness and impurity. SV don't symbolise darkness, they symbolise purity and since Vidya can't exactly just stamp PURE on her forhead, white as a color ( or shade๐Ÿ˜•) does the work of that "pure" stamp in a more subtle way.

"pure stamp"๐Ÿ˜† i really am loosing my mind.

I wonder how long this safed thing will go for? I've settled for the fact that the reason is purity, even though there are still many glitches left in that theory.
