I felt he was trying to shame Kat, he asked her something along the line, now that you are single would you consider Varun, which has a very misogynist undertone, that a girl cant be happy single.

^Even I felt the same that he was mainly targeting Katrina with that question, although he has always been inconsiderate about VD's committed status, in his initial years he even asked him to keep his relationship with Natasha secret, Varun never paid heed though & I remember he even got reprimanded by Kjo for giving statements like he'll never date any actress n all😆
