I do not watch much shows only Porus and DEm i do not think prince kings act so atleast they did not show

And Salim is 15th century prince not a 21st century serial actor

15th century must be diff from 21st century usually

Now people have luxury life no wars no small illness killing ppl wealth etc all nice things very less tension so they may behave eratic

commoners hardly will behave like serial or movie hero in real life

his erratic behaviour is actually more in line with 15th century😆 just because prince and kings are presented extremely well in movies does not make it the truth😆

I do not think

Which prince will break bottle on his hand - this is 21st century bollywood movie drama

Which prince shall set his tent on fire if lover does not accept his proposal to kill himself

This is psycho behaviour

If we see logic we should leave all the indian shows🤣
They have many illogical and unimaginable tracks .
Like heroine having the insight saying that hero in danger or vice versa , dupatta flying and saving one's lover life, feeling currents due to reincarnations 😆..
So we can enjoy the show...

I thought we'd see him addicted to opium and then behave rashly, but he seems to have only tried that the other day. So no drugs to blame for his behavior. 😆

Actually any great person or famous person cannot be just a person

I mean salim will always be a crown prince and than emperor he can never be only salim as he wishes

In order to be famous you sacrifce something in salims case he sacrifices his personal life and joy of doing as he wishes and goes to war at 9-10 years etc

Its like todays actors and politicians they sacrifice simple pleasure of life because they are famous

Akbar is 50 plus years now so hes all serious, courageous etc may be at 20 he was also like Salim falling in and out of love and marrying many women and not liking war etc

Salim may be asuming that Akbar was all that from childhood only that hes now in 50s but that actually takes time. IIt comes with maturity. You cannot be as mature at 20 as you are at 30 year or 50 years because you have life experiences and know good from bad etc you get matured with time.

And Akbar had great mentors in Maham anga and Bairam Khan which Salim never had till now

Man Singh his mentor is only his war trainer he cannot be a foster father like Bairam khan was to Akbar or a mother like Maham was to Akbar. Man Singh himself made it clear to salim as kid do not expect any leniency and support you are soldier and i a trainer and commander in battle zone.

Bairam Khan did not have any children till age 45 years so for him Akbar was only his child or son till he became 15-16 years old. And Akbars mother and dai ma always stayed with him. So he had that emotion and psychology support which salim did not have for past 12 years.

And Akbar became emperor at 14 years so everyone respect him from that age only unlike Salim whose still prince at 20 years. He will never get same respect from ministers etc because hes just a crown prince not emperor.

So how can salim expect that he wants to be like Akbar now only?

Or how can Akbar expect Salim to behave like him as hes not yet emperor

People usually treat you with respect as per your position usually you are emperor more respect you are prince not so much minister ok respect commoner no respect etc

Have you seen the movie Lion King. In that movie when Scar says that "only brave lions go to the elephant yard" to Simbha, Simbha immediately plans to go to the elephant yard to prove that he is brave. When Mufasa asks why he went there, Simbha replies that he wanted to prove that he was strong and brave like Mufasa. I see Salim thinking the same way. When Daniel and Murad tell him that he can be called brave only if he fought the tiger, without thinking Salim is shown to rush into the arena to fight the tiger.

Akbar had no reference point. There was no model as to how he should be. He carved one for himself. But Salim has a reference point in Akbar. He is constantly told that he should be like "Akbar", that one day he will take over for him. And Salim wants to prove that he is "worthy" of being the crown prince. That even though Daniyal and Murad are Akbar's son's too, he became the crown prince fair and square. It is this thirst to prove that Akbar or Hamida has not made the wrong choice which made Salim susceptible to being egged on.

When Anarkali rejects him the first time he confesses his love, he is shown to become enraged. And when Hamida comes there and says that you are the "crown prince", so no one can say "no" to you. He says that right and does the hamaam thing.

It is true that all great people have to give up something and cannot be just one person. But the said "great person" has to accept that. 😃. Here Salim struggles between being the crown prince who should be walking in Akbar's footsteps to being just Salim, his personal wants and desires. He is still trying to come to terms with being just a warrior to being the emperor. And that struggle is visible through the actions.

i think going to war makes him like that

usually all soldiers who see war and voilence have mental trauma

but child soldiers have much more issues because they are too small to understand war and voilence and seeing cruelty can make them numb to death and pain etc in future and affect them badly like we see salims personality sometimes

and there was no psychiatrist and counsellors etc than or medicines to remove depression and trauma like todays time

thats why i think they drank so much and substance abuse too

i heard when rajpuths went to war they ate opium

Otherwise watching so much voilence and cruelty they may not sleep also at night like salim already told initially he did not sleep 12 years
Now that hes in agra hes getting up very late bec yesterday mahabhat was shocked he got up early. That means his trauma is reducing and hes getting sleep
