Mauli will lie to Kunal because she'll realize that he didn't really come back for her, but just because he has a duty to the child. She probably might discover that Nandini sent him back as well. So she'll lie so that Kunal can go back to Nandini.

The divorce will get finalized, Kunal will marry Nandini, and then there will be a leap.

Here they'll show Nandini and Kunal living together, but Nandini can't become a mother. In the meantime, Mauli has a lovely daughter (on TV it always has to be a daughter). This daughter will start meeting Kunal and he'll feel a connection with her. Nandini will also connect with the daughter.

After stretching this track out, they'll finally bring Kunal and Mauli face-to-face, where Kunal will realize that the young child he's been connecting with is Mauli's daughter. He'll think Mauli remarried and had a child. Then after stretching that out for a while, they'll finally reveal to him (or maybe they'll reveal it to Nandini first) that this child is actually Kunal and Mauli's child. Bada-bing-bada-boom.
