Mahir - a flawed character

in the beginning of the season we got a very clear picture of how mahir is.. We saw him as a perfect son, business man and a perfect brother. And everybody was drooling over his perfectness ... (even me) 😆 But i have to say that i felt that his character could be boring if they only show how perfect this man could be... But when he gets married and become a husband we see some new shades of mahirs character suddenly his flaws comes out.. We see a insecure man when it comes to love.. he can behave totally different .. like the scene where mahir thought that there is something between bela and rehan.. the way he pulled her to the wall was not that mahir we could imagine in the beginning of the season.. If you guys notice something mahir always shows tremendous faith in bela when she gets accused to something. He always supports her and believe in her. He does not need any proof to believe bela. But when it comes to love he begins to speculate about it. He somewhere did believe that there was

something between bela and rehan.. And he did believe in yuvi and belas relationship.. And in boths these problems mahir wanted proof from bela. Not only that... he is also very fast in making decisions in these scenarios. example talking about divorce after belas confession to yuvi and geeting rehan and jamini married. I really like this flaw in mahir because it does give i realistic feeling of first time in love... He is stil learning to believe in his love and trust for bela.

He does not know how to handle things in love because its his first time .. first time he is falling in love and he is learning about this journey.. I really think trust is the biggest hurdle mahir have to go through before he finally can archive his love for bela...

I know that bela have done things that it could look like she was having a affair with yuvi/rehan but still mahir always had a blind trust on bela when she got accused for killing rehan etc where they showed all those pictures bela had in her room.. Even though mahir saw it.. he did not beileve in it.. i hope you get what i am saying.. I do believe you cant be perfect in something you are experiencing for the first time..

No one can be perfect in world.

And here we are talking about character which is made my how writers shape them.

Before marriage we saw a responsible protective Mahir who can go any extent for his family.

After marriage he started liking Bela so we got to see another shade in his character- jealousy.

Yes he have flaws when Bela was telling many times she wasn't pregnant he couldn't believe as he thought she was not able to accept it due to shame.

We have also witnessed what a gem Mahir is when he thought Bela is pregnant with Yuvi's child still he was ready to accept her and her child.

When Kuhu accused Bela to be Anu's murderer Mahir did believe Bela but he wanted clarification.

When he saw Bela confessing to Yuvi he said about divorce but it was in anger.As after that he didn't mention.He waited and hoped from Bela but lastly he couldn't tolerate decided to divorce but again when Bela said to hope for them he again got that hope.

He is emotional person and straight forward.

Mahir have flaws and wo jaisa bhi h I love Mahir the way he is.

U just nailed it.. 👏.. .. ya mahir ji has the fear of losing bela in his life.. so whenever a third person comes he becomes another imperfect mahir.😉 but other time he trusts her tremendously like anything.😆mahir is my very very favourite character in naagin 3 .. in fact I watch it for him..( Bela is also my fav).. but I could never explain mahir like this whenever there is some negative posts abt him..thank u ..I was really upset due to some posts today but u refreshed me..😊

Why wouldn't he get insecure in relationship when his wife behaves weird?

Insecurity and perfection is total different topic!

He is perfect, doesn't mean he can't question his wife after seeing dinner table weirdness!

His wife would do baby baba in front of him and he shouldn't think about divorce??

He is thinking rationally. Any sensible person would think in that way.

A perfect person thinks rationally!

Mahir is perfect, thatst why he isn't blind. He isn't antaratma that he would guess Bela is in love.

I was not responding many of the post because of thinking okay all are behir fans..they can't see their mu...but most of the topic blown out of proportion !! I'm writing here cz I felt it's written with much sense!

Before reading below one must know I love behir, I like the way Mahir is and I love Bela !

Here you say Mahir is learning trusting Bela! It's make him great that he doesn't believe any of the incidents Bela accused for, thus he asked question and wanted to clarify ! I agreed

For the very same reason doesn't it make Bela great also!!!!!..cz she was in love with Vik for hundreds years...that's why she trusted him! She trusts Mahir that's why she has been taking her time to fulfill revenge and delaying though she has been under lots of pressure from Vish ! Doesn't it make her loyal to the relationship!

Everybody is blaming her that she didn't confess her love!! Did Mahir said " I love you " in front of her!!! If he said plz tell me ...I don't know how I missed it!

Without being told Bela knows how much Mahir loves her, how much he cares for her...Mahir thinks of Bela before himself, doesn't it make Bela great to realize the untold!!!

Some may say Mahir cares for her he showed/ proved it! My answer is- Bela proved it too! She cared for Sumitra and for her sake she was willing surrender to shaan ! Mahir knows that! She saved him falling from terrace , Mahir knew it too...jamini track though Bela vs jamini but for Mahir it was Bela who saved the family from getting robbed!

Bela and Mahir are perfect together! Flawless or with flaw they are awesome! In the show they don't know what's going on behind them or what's going on other persons mind! As a viewers we know it , one may have personal favourite , one have inclination to one particular character! One doesn't like the character and want to criticize. Please do criticize keeping in mind that it may hurt other people's favourite!

I don't want to initiate any argument! I just wanted to say there's two side of a coin!

PS: I know this post is about Mahir not Bela! Still I'm posting this because the points you discussed also fit in bela's character!

Mahir has his flaws but that makes him more likeable.

He will be insecure of Bela , will doubt her but when it comes to taking stands when anyone else is accusing her , he is the first one to do it.

He till now hasn't been swayed by what others have to say abt bela. he has his own judgement whether right or wrong is another matter.

If sumi turns out to be main villian, she might be able to manipulate Mahir against Bela. No one else.

He has kept his doubts, insecurity for Bela within himself and Bela only.

Never made it issue publicly or even in family.

He is very ziddi is some ways. I feel Both Mahir and Bela are . They both love each other but have this ziddipana . Remember the Bela falling on Mahir and Mahir trying to heal her wound .

Have always said, Mahir type of character takes time to grow.

He was very boring initially but now he is the darling of the show.

I don't feel it is a flaw.He is reacting the way a normal person would. Before wedding, Mahir was a workaholic who loved his family. He showed his anger whenever he felt they are doing wrong. After wedding too is the same. Mahir cared her and she hated him. So he want a straight-forward answer he is not getting. Thats making him insecure. Once all the secrets are out and misunderstandings cleared, they will be the best couple. And yes, he is very possessive about his wife, which is quite normal.

Mahir is insecure regarding love .rest all matterse he trusts bela .

He was not believing bela is not pregnant .though he never saw intimacy between yuvi and bela. Thats bcoz if his insecurity reg love

Most of people in India u have only one love ..crush attraction u can have so many timess

Mahir speciality is he never had crush or attraction also on any other gal as ge himself said .his first love crush attraction every thing is bela his first time .that makes him insecure

Bela also is a impressive character though some people r bashing her

She is not antaryami to know about every one In 2 or 3 days ..especially her 100 yr love or attraction what ever

Even in real life I challenge if u best school buddy is plotting against you how many of u will get to know in few days

She is behaving correctly as a normal person does ..i.e can't suspect years of friendship

Vikrant is using her trust and part love to manipulate things and bela is so confused and letting vikrant to be near her as the only person in sehgal house who knows about her past is vikrant ..and even though Mahir us her love she can't connect that much bcos stop he does not know every thing about her so she too has some wariness about Mahir though she loves him

All this will go when Mahir knows about her past and accepts her .that's when she will become truly Mahir gal both like a friend and lover

Now she us just a lover and not a friend to Mahir and she thinking vikrant as friend
