From the initial episodes what I had gathered was, Nanu and Ramu Kaka will be the catalysts in bringing ShraMan together! The first EP. Itself was giver considering guru-shishya bond! Plus the promos !

Somehow...all these predictions came true but in a very twisted way !

The hand hold was symbolic and significant !!

Nanu was like the dhor between them, I think it's the only individual who loved both of them, it's the only individual who cared for them without any ulterior motive! I could also see the clash between Nanu and Ramnath's thinking, there is a scene before ShraMan's marriage where Nanu is giving all his blessings and advices to Sumo for her to enter smoothly in this new phase of life while Ramnath was only further instigating Shravan!

Exactly his relationship with Nanu was one of my favorite dynamic in the show along with Lalaji's! This is what made his stand out, remember that scene during the accident when she is trying to get to the phone, the first reflex of any male lead would have been to help the female lead but he lets her do her thing and he ASKS!!! he lets her fight her battle alone but he is always there to lift up her spirts in case she falls down
