Porus was a great platform to show Greek civilization to Indian audiences. Sadly they only showed their worst part. I bet seleucus will be shown a wife abuser but in real life he was a really good husband to Apama. He was the only one who didn't divorce his wife after alex died.
Why can't Indian shows show foreigners good side too?
It's not like only saints live here and only demons love in other countries.
India was and is a great country but Greek civilization has it's own contribution in the world.
Imagine cgm showed calisthenes as a positive person and showed that they also cared about education.

Barsine already said that he was a bad guy, right? So here they will spare no opportunity to make him a monster. Since he's Alexander's general, he would fit right in under the leadership of Alexander, the original villain of the show (according to the CVs). 😆

However, if Vikas ends up performing spectacularly, I won't be surprised to see people loving his character on the show, no matter how negative. It would be a similar case to what happened to Sony Alexander. Seleucus being on the show for 6 months means he will have a very important role.

Ab bas dekhna yeh hai ke Vikas baal dye karta hai ya wig pehenta hai. Pata chale dye kar kar ke uske baal bhi Rohit ke baalon ki tarah kharaab ho jaaye. Aur waise bhi, woh Jhelum mein dubki to nahin lagaane waala. 😆

You're right. After all the time an effort put into hiring the right actors and building those massive Macedonian sets, what did they do? There was a lot of exchange of culture and philosophy between the Greeks and the Indians during that period. CGM himself learned a lot from them. The CVs squandered a huge opportunity to showcase this.

What can we do if the CVs have the mentality that if you show positive things about foreigners then you can't praise the Indian side?

Yes, Seleucus and Apama's relationship would have been very interesting to see, but since he's supposed to be an out an out negative character, I doubt he will get any screen time with Apama. Same thing as we saw with Roxanne and Alexander. When Roxanne was introduced, it seemed promising, especially after their first meeting, and now Alexander's sworn to deprive her of his love.

Expect CVs to make Seleucus do and say the worst possible things because they think that the more his character is degraded, the more the Bharati side can be glorified. If Alexander, the so-called gray character, could be shown in such a bad way, can you imagine what they would do with a character like Seleucus who has been declared an outright baddie? Khuli chhoot milegi CVs ko uski beizzati karne ke liye.

Kuch bhi.

Log pehle angrezon ko racist kehte the, par ab aisi anti-firangi cheezein dekhenge to yehi sochenge ke Bharati TV makers kitne racist hain! Issme unki hi image kharab hogi.

The episodes are uploaded on youtube so people all over the world are seeing this. People's impression about a country/culture is often formed by watching their TV shows so what kind of impression are shows like Porus creating about the way Indians view foreigners?

Seleucus was not a saint but nor was porus or CGM. A king can never be a saint because he often has to take tough decisions to keep his rule going. But CVS showed greek Kings some maniacs who don't care about anyone but themselves. They are shown abusing their own family. Why can't Indian shows stip demonizing everything foreign. It's not Indian culture. We embrace other people and their good things.

Maybe he only wears Persian clothes when he is in Persia. Outside he goes back to his Macedonian attire.
It's possible they will show him wearing Persian clothes after Alexander dies, but then again, we know how these CVs are about costume changes, right? 😆
