Casting couch is 100% sexual harassment.

Casting couch is similar to any organization where your boss tells u to do sexual favors and in return promises a promotion... it is your choice to walk away but it is still exploitation bcos of the power you hold...

Casting couch is harassment. Taking advantage of your post to force yourself sexually or asking for anytype of favor is harassment.

What Pooja Bhatt knows about it anyway??? Being the daugther of a well known director she didn't get any such offers in the first place. And if she got some she could afford to walk away. She could surely work in her family production house in any case.

U cannot call it harassment if the actor or actress throw themselves at the directpr or casting person.

It is reverse harassment actually.

Many "casting couch" stories actually turn out to be consensual sexual activities gone wrong.

As per law 354a of IPC, demanding or requesting for sexual favors in return of work comes under sexual harrasement. Being in consensual sexual relationship with a colleague or subordinate at a personal level is fine but asking for a sexual favor in return of work is a crime.
